Follow the signs: 'Point of the Mountain / Flight park'. Amazing spot for camping. There is a sign, which allowed camping for 14 days for $15/day, no fire, only self contained, toilet available! Free WiFi! A lot of space even for big RV‘s. Windy!

Stayed one night, the place is ok, beautiful panoramic views like everywhere in Utah. Pit toilet was clean enough and had TP stocked. Plenty of wind and paragliding activity, this was kind of cool to watch. Still $15 per night, and it definitely said 2 day max on the pay envelope, but I doubt anyone is enforcing that.

Excellent place to run around SLC. Great views. 1-2 5G Tmobile bars. You can pay 15$ a night cash or pay on a website they list..Dry camping. It can get windy if it’s windy😁.
Report Check-InFlight Park State Recréation Area- at the top of the hills. This area used by hang gliders. It has an online reservation system. Restrooms but no hookups.

Report Check-InWe drove up to check this out today, but we were unable to stay due to the amount of snow on the campground road. It was essentially unplowed and we don't have 4wd, so we bailed. Looks like a great spot once dry! There were 4 RVs there, mostly fifth wheels and a bus.

Woke up to a dozen paragliders! 360 views of Mtn ranges, SLC North and valley south. Super quiet night. Paid 15$ w QR code, pay daily, max stay is 14 days. Could close for high winds. Check air quality, today, above brown smog line. Mine activity not noticeable. Avoid in inversion and high winds. Trails go to very end of mountain plateau edge and can be had with 4x4. Loved it! 2 schoolies, 3 adventure vans, 1 5th wheel and some trucks near entrance.
Report Check-InPlace is not closed. There's no gate or anything that could be closed. Camping is $15/night up to 14 days. Self contained camper required. Restroom onsite but no other services. Make sure to drive up W Air Park Rd in case you're confused about the location. It's usually colder and windy up there but has great views.

Report Check-InNot a bad spot to pull in, enjoy watching paragliders and hang gliders, and have a bathroom close to your camp spot. The camping area is simply just a dirt parking area, but there are benches nearby that you can sit and enjoy the view.

Report Check-InStayed here again for two nights and it’s even better in the summer! So many van/RV/tents. Some people look like they’ve been here longer than the limit of 14 days, but there’s plenty of spots for everyone. Cell service on ATT is spotty, but free entertainment with the parasailed. Pit toilets are the only amenity.

Report Check-InStayed couple of nights already. Very practical spot to stay if visiting the city. Not too far, toilets, wifi. Cool temperatures with the breeze. A lot of people seem to camp here, so meeting people is possible. Perfect spot to spend the evening & night.

Report Check-InDrive up the hill to get to the camping area. If there's not a storm coming in then the wind is fine. The view is great! especially watching the paragliders in the morning. If you want to take a ride on one ask for Chris Santacroce. He's the best!!! My family loved it, even the kids! We'll definitely be back! Don't park at the end of the road. Park closest to the bern at the beginning or middle of the road. Paragliders get dropped off in the early morning at the end and they are loud.

Report Check-InATTN: As of 3/28/20 the flight park's website says it will only be open to Utah County residents due to Covid-19. We had no idea and arrived 3/28.There was no sign in the parking lot mentioning this. No one questioned us so we still stayed and left early. We saw other rigs with out-of-state plates so I don't know when/if/how they will start enforcing it.
Other than that it was a nice place to stay the night with beautiful views, bathrooms, and free wifi.

There is a Maverick fuel station with dumpster, water, ice, and supplies only a mile away.
Site is located on a geographical fin that sticks into the valley - separating Provo from SLC - meaning it gets 2 to 4 Xs as windy than in the valley and cold.
We camped there for 7 days with 35 gusting to 48mph and subfreezing temperatures most nights in early October.
The paragliders are very friendly and offer tandem paragliding flights if you are interested in trying it out! Contact SuperFly paragliding or Cloud9 paragliding for more info. This is one of the busiest and best locations to learn to paragliding in the nation!!

Report Check-Inthis is an awesome spot, I stayed here for 2 days while in the SLC area. has pit toilets and for whatever reason free wifi!! you can stay up to 14 days. it's really cool to watch the paragliders. there's a great view of the nearby mountains and the city and lake down below. the people who were up there while I was there were very friendly. had full cell service on tmobile. would definitely stay here again!

Report Check-InGreat place to free camp! You can watch the paragliders go off the hill all day too. The toilets were dirty and they don’t lock but other than that it was quiet and there’s plenty of space for all kinds of rigs. Just windy because it’s on the top of a hill. Nice views of the city/mountains too.
