Description

a really great place, you have to take the little gravel road on your right before broad street hollow rd when you come from the east on the 28 (indicate forest preserve parking). several spots with place for little RV and a tent. picnic table and fire ring. pack it in pack it out, no trash bean or restrooms. next to a pond. very quiet except for the birds! we take the first one on the right road, be careful of low branches! no permit required if you stay less than 3 nights. completely free. next to really great trails in the Catskill mountains. there is very limited service and rolling service for at&t and t mobile.

Most sites I saw didn't have much in the way of car access, but still a beautiful place to crash. fire pit was much appreciated :)

free camping, multiple sites for tents, fire pits & tables, little bit of road noise, be careful with any food as black bears do come into the area

super primitive walk in tent site, i stayed at site #2 and then site #8. the water is at #5 but that was taken. not a lot of noise at all there’s some house construction in the woods and there’s some road noise sometimes but overall very peaceful and i plan to stay another night. I did have a ranger come down to my site and tell me that there is no sleeping in the car allowed and there must be a permit secured before you arrive if you plan to stay the maximum 14 days. there’s some cute hiking and also fishing access in the catskills park 10 minutes away. there are fire rings at every site but only a few have picnic tables.

Not for RV's unless passengers are Disabled.

Great place to tent for free close to all the trails in the Catskills. We stayed at site 8 with an ADA compliant picnic table and a fire pit. Portapottie nearby our site. 3 bars ATT

Report Check-In

No RV parking but one or two sites big enough for a van.

Loved staying here! It’s a little off the main road so there is some noise but honestly didn’t bother us while we were there. We had to park off to the side and walk about 40 yards into the woods to get to our site (#5) but it was easy enough to make multiple trips back and forth!

Great place to camp for free. The spots get taken on the weekends so you’ll want to arrive early. Very peaceful and I loved that these primitive sights had fire rings and picnic tables.

Report Check-In

Great sites and spaced out. Walk-in sites so a RTT setup would be on the access road.

Still checks out! Nice quiet area. Only spot for vehicle is first one on the right next to a pond. Several other areas for campers. Fire pits and picnic tables available at other sites.

When you enter, you can turn right or left. Left isup a hill and has two sites. To the right there are multiple. At the end of the road theres a porta-potty. Its a great place to park but people will come by to use the toilet. If you want privacy, turn left when you enter.

Great, free camp spot. The first spot on the right (#4) was perfectly sized for our van and it’s located next to a pond. Though, the down side to that spot is the pond gets a lot of use even if the camp site is taken... a local woman came here to swim in the pond; then, two guys came here and hung out fishing and drinking beer for a few hours... I know it’s free but it was really weird to not have privacy.

Heads up, we heard that a black bear has been hanging around these sites recently.

RVs are prohibited, nice sites for tents

Nice, FREE camp sites. They are set back from the road. Some you could drive a vehicle into, others had a narrow path to the site. I stayed at the last one before the cul de sac which was perfect for a motorcycle traveler. Also the closest site to the port-a-potty

Pretty much everything is said above. when I came there was a Porta potty set up at the end of the road to the right. Lots of tent spots but only one really good van spot (the first one on the right after turning right at the T). Fire pits and picnic tables. FREE
