Description

Large pull in area off the road with a short walk down to the lake side. We were the only ones here and enjoyed a private campfire.

Unfortunately this sort currently has the burned out tapped off remains of a motor home in the middle of it currently. I moved on.

Perfect spot for a night or two. There is rubbish and broken glass near the fire pit so wear shoes and take your rubbish with you.

Such a beautiful spot with plenty of room to share.

like others have said, there was so much garbage. We were grateful to have found a nice place like this, that it would be a shame to lose it so we decided to clean it up a little bit. It sounds like some other reviewers had done that as well. We just decide it was a small price to pay for the privilege of being able to use such a place.

We managed to fill up two large garbage bags of toilet paper, beer cans, tin cans and other paraphernalia…so glad we brought rubber gloves.

A local showed up to go swimming shortly after and offered to haul the garbage away for us. so it was of a joint effort.

lots of people came and went during the day to go swimming. it’s a perfect swimming spot, but we pretty much had the place to ourselves at night.

The spot is big enough too that if you do have to share it with other overnighters you still have some privacy.

Nice pull in, road a little bit noisy but it's off the road and there wasn't anyone else there, the river is just behind and it's just lovely.

Unfortunately people have been dumping there so there's a bit of litter, gave it a whip around with the bin bag

I was here for one night, solo female traveller. I have had a tent but I've slept my car.
Quiet place, no problem. No one was there. The place is just not very clean, some rubbish and toilet paper by the fire pit and close to the beach. Very close to Campbell River. Good location for a night

Decent sized flat area, short walk down to perfect swimming spot. Stayed for a couple nights and noticed locals swam there during the day but no one bothered us at night. Beautiful little spot, had a bar or two of service also. Toilet paper littered the entire place, but we tried to clean it up a little before we left.

Simple pull out. Water was down a small dirt cliff but maybe easier on the sides. I set up a camping hammock. some road noise but that's to be expected...it's beside the road.

Parking lot easy to find along the road. Not to noisy during the night. Not a lot of spots along the shore (2 or 3). I slept in my car on the parking lot and there was a camper too.

Spent two nights here. Short, steep path down to little beach. Beautiful spot for sunset and had the beach to ourselves. Road sometimes noisy but not too bad at night. Stay Derbie x

Nice quiet spot with beautiful lake short walk down. Can hear cars from highway going past but we weren’t bothered by anyone. People left a tent and so much garbage here, please clean up after yourselves people

Super handy spot to stay.
There’s a track that leads down to a beautiful lake, which was great for swimming.
We spent a few days fishing in Campbell river during the salmon run, and had no problem pulling up here each night.
Sometimes you’ll have it to yourself, sometimes there might be 4 or 5 vans.

I stayed here intermittently through the off season. it’s a decent spot close to Campbell and the swimming is great. It’s extremely busy in the summer, don’t expect to be staying the night alone! We had 7 other vehicles park behind us before we decided to find something else.

This is a great little spot... road is pretty quiet at night and the lake is beautiful!

About 10 min from Cambell River. Fairly quiet. About 50 ft from lake and fire ring.

Probably big enough for 4 campers if not too big. There was a trailer here with us and they were "tucked" in. We had a weak cell signal.

Really great pullout. Trail that takes you right down to the lake (a little steep). Back part of the pullout barely visible from the road. Busy spot, shared the campsite for two of the nights I was there.
