Very quiet place! Any other parking lot in town are "no overnight " by Ordinance

Report Check-In

no knocks stayed two days to let a storm pass. General tourist trap but I just came out of the badlands National Park so it w as conveniently located at the exit.

Report Check-In

got here around 7, stayed in the paved lot in my car, no problem. Sheriff rolled through, didnt stop or bother w anyone,5-6 other campers & trailers stayed overnight too. Sturgis rally is happenig rn so there's a lot of bike traffic. down the road by the Philips66 is a HUGE grassed dog walking lot w bags, picnic tables & benches .
**I recommend staying near the building so you don't get blasted by the a.m sun, IF you're in a car or van

Report Check-In

A bit noisy throughout the night and morning but overall decent place to stay in a pinch. Great coverage on T-Mobile so got our work done in a Friday before heading into the park.

Report Check-In

Parking lot a block from Wall Drug. When I asked inside if parking was allowed, I was told no. However, I read the reviews on here and took my chances parking for the night. I stayed stealth and never got the knock. I did look outside after dark and I wasn't the only van/RV in the lot.

Report Check-In

Contrary on what people say about the gravel parking lot, it's primarily for semis. Plenty of people overnighting in the paved portion.

Report Check-In

I asked a local bartender. the "official" stance is that overnight parking is not allowed, but he said it's not likely that someone will be asked to leave. when I left just after dark there were four RVs apparently parked for the night. three with lights on inside, and no attempt to be stealthy.

Report Check-In

Stayed in the RV parking lot, didn’t move to the gravel lot. No issues.

Report Check-In

Not sure if we can park here, but we are. no other RV's in the lot and there are signs that say No Camping. We shall see. We are in the RV lot.

Report Check-In

Stayed here one night with 3 of us in convoy. Two converted school buses & one RV. All with tow vehicles behind. Arrived around 5:30PM went to check out what wall drug was all about, came back, had a great nights sleep and no one bothered us. There is a train or two that goes by around 3:30 in the morning (very loud) but that’s a given because the lot is at the train tracks. It’s the FREE public RV camper lot. Other then the trains it was quiet. All traveling with dogs and wall drug is very dog friendly if they are well behaved on a leash.

Report Check-In

Overnight parking allowed in this lot. Many others spent the night here. Great option when raining as many of the other free spots are hard to get to due to flooded soft muddy roads. Lot is paved and near level. Wall Drug is really cool store and definitely worth checking out. Only downfall is the lot is right beside train tracks and we did hear and feel one go by.
