Cuando llegamos a esta ubicación nos encontramos con qué han construido un puente.
No recomendamos aquí por estar muy lleno de lodo por la obra del puente.

Super spot in Mindo. Felt very safe, although at night some guys came there to smoke weed and listening to loud music. Everything else as described, nice spot.

Buen y tranquilo lugar, sin problema y a 3 minutos del centro.
Recomendable contratar a un guía que les llevará a uno de los mejores sitios para ver aves.

Good a safe place to spleep. Toilets only in the Main Square and just open 9 am. we wash spme clothes in the river. We recomend.

We loved this spot. The river is beautiful and right in the middle of town without being too busy. Very quiet at night time. The river is chilly, but perfect for a refreshing wake up bath. There were a few other overlanders there with us, and many really friendly locals. Our dog loved this spot and he made a really nice street-dog friend who we named Zeus. I have uploaded a photo of him(big black and white fluffy dog) if you see him please give him some love. He will follow you all over and is super friendly. He even ran after our car when we left. So sad. He is lovely. Make sure you try the woodfire pizza at Fuera de Babalonia. Christian is the chef- he took us to hunt for edible mushrooms in the jungle, then we made pizza with them as the topping. Amazing experience. We also made him and his family vegemite empanadas in the woodfire oven. They have wifi that reaches the camping spot too and they will let you use their bathrooms. Were going to stay 1, but ended up staying 5 days here. Loved it!!!

Best spot in town. Quiet at night and though locals swim in the river during the day, we are gone hiking or other suffering this time.

estuvimos 5 noches, gratis, con baños pagos cerca. es un hermoso lugar, bastante tranquilo. para bañarse y lavar ropa, ojo con usar quimicos en el rio !!!
we stayed 5nights. its free, it has payed restrooms nearby. its a beautfil place, tranquilo during the week.dont thow chemicals if you bathe or wash clothes in the river!!

Great FREE spot. Perfect to walk into town, take swim and meet people. This is a busy location for bathing and socializing. Maybe better to park away from the “pool” zone. BTW- the brownies at Quetzal are awesome!

We stayed here in our van for a night during the week. We were alone and had a peaceful and quiet night. We think its the best spot to park if you want to stay close to the main square.

Spend 3 nights here during weekend & holiday, so very busy with locals swimming during daytime, but great and safe place and calm nights. Well lit, police patrolling regularly, in evening still some locals swimming and fishing, so we left our car while going to town without problem.
Dont agree with previous review where is mentioned that he didn't feel welcome. People were really nice. Maybe they are not happy when you park at the spot where kids jump/dive into the river (across the soccerfield) and where they have a foodstall on sunday, so better not park there.

primero por favor no lavar ropa y No tomar banho en neste rio con jabón. Muchos nativos hacen esto pero es muy malo para la naturaleza.
lugar grande para parquear, bonito bien cerca del río bueno para una ducha ( sin jabón por favor!!!!).
dormimos como 5 noches, bien tranquilo y seguro.
Pero no nos sentimos muy acogidos acá. La gente viene mirar lo que estamos haciendo todo momento y empiezam a preguntar donde estamos haciendo nuestras necessidades fisiológicas, preguntam cuando vamos embora. Cuando parqueamos en la plaza central la gente hablo que es proibido parquear vans y no fueran nadie educados.
No sentimos buena onda de los moradores.
Una pena por que el lugar es lindo. Pero me parece que no lhes gusta los ioverlanders.

Not sure how an open parking area by a river could be closed?! We camped her with no issues. Lovely spot - quiet with gurgling river.

excelente lugar para ranchear unos días. A dos cuadras de la plaza central junto al río hay techo donde armar mesa y hacer asado. tenes carnicería cerca. el río genial para bañarse y lavar ropa. la gente muy amigable se puede parchar en la principal .

Right next to the river there is a sort of parking ground, the place seemed ok and there were toillets available just a block and a half away towards the city centre. It is possible to have a swim in the river, and it can be crwoded during the weekend
