Wooded area on the water with very private, primitive camping spots, each with picnic table and fire pit. Far enough from I-80 that you don’t see the traffic, but you can hear it. You also hear lots of birds! And the neighbor’s cows. No running water. Pay with cash only (exact change) which you leave in an envelope at the entry booth. $8 per non-Nebraska vehicle and $10 per camping spot.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Awesome place. Clean. Easy off of I80. Quiet. Good distance between spots. Lots of water. Beautiful and pleasant. Set up camp before sunset.
Report Check-InStopping in again for cross country road trip. State road seems busier tonight than last time we stopped but maybe it will quiet down as evening progresses.
Report Check-InPrimitive camping convenient to the interstate, close to a highway with trucks. On a cold Tuesday night I had the whole place to myself. I'd stay more nights in a row were it not for the road noise. Nonetheless, a great overnighter.
Report Check-Inlakes all around you and even at sunset no bugs! cute flat camping spots.
