Description

I overnight camped at a Walmart parking lot. There are plenty of lights at night for safety concerns. This particular Walmart is open 24 hours, it’s great because you have water and bathroom access nearby. Try to park near the grocery entrance area because if you park next to the pharmacy entrance area, you would be the only one parked there after midnight (they close that entrance)and you would raise suspicion.

Stayed one night, pulled in around 5pm after a day of exploring Billings, woke up to the sound of lawn mowers and cleaning crew. Overheard guys knocking on RVs and a few Broken down truck campers, not sure what they told them because I never got a knock but it looked like they were writing down plate numbers ,probably people that overstayed their welcome. I left at 8am because I really didn’t need to stick around, especially after seeing a guy walking around with a hose and bottle looking for a car to get gas out of.

Stopped by looking for the standard Walmart deal. Ask a Manager, first she said "No", the after my shocked look she said "Oh you have an trailer, then 10 hour limit." Wasn't real nice. And I like Walmart.

This place is good. However at 5:00 on Tuesday morning, I heard a loud machine. I think they were cleaning up the parking lot. Not a big deal for me since I’m an early riser. Planet Fitness on the same shopping center for shower and topped off my tank at Costco just about two blocks down the street.

Report Check-In

Loads of other RVs and vans parked here. Little bit of road noise but nothing too bad.

Typical walmart, im a solo femal traveling and felt fine. Also it was my dream spot with a PF to work out, shower, fill water, and a CFA to eat at.

Report Check-In

I checked with the on-duty manager and he said it’s fine to overnight here. They check the lot at noon every day and ask that you leave early the next day (before 11am, in his words lol) and pick up after yourself.

Report Check-In

No Overnight Parking sign posted. many RVs parked there that appeared they'd be spending the night so it may have been fine but we left to stay at nearby Cracker Barrel

Report Check-In

Very typical of Wally world overnighting. Stayed closer to the bank, next to the entrance road. Noticed several big rigs and a camper in the Fred's appliance/Lowes parking lot nextdoor.

This Walmart is crazy busy. There is also a “no overnight parking” sign. I didn’t stay the night, so I’m not sure if it is enforced or not…but for what it’s worth, I’d highly recommend staying at the Cracker Barrel in town over this location.

Report Check-In

No overnight parking signs but tons of abandoned old campers hanging in the lot. Stayed the night and did not get kicked out but would not recommend it is quite noisy with street cleaner running till 2am..

Report Check-In

Is NOT 24 hours. they close at 11 per a manager who said they will probably not go back to 24 hours.

Report Check-In

It's a Walmart. About 10 RVs and plenty of other car campers here. Loud, near a main road, dogs barking randomly, etc.

Report Check-In

Few other rigs parked here. Construction all over the front of Walmart still going at 11:45pm - going to be a loud night

Report Check-In

Average Walmart. Got in at 3am and loads are cars there. Left by 9am, loads of shoppers. Nice for bathroom.

Report Check-In

The hours are now 7am-8:30pm - so, not as convenient as a 24hr Walmart. But safe & well-lit parking lot, with a few other vans & RVs also staying overnight.

Report Check-In

a usual Walmart with lots of RVs, cars and campers

Report Check-In

Stayed one night. Very safe, very quiet. other campers nearby that we talked to.
Currently they are closing at 8:30 pm.
We didn't check in with anyone, just came in, opened up our doors, made some dinner, and then went to sleep.

Great spot. All kinds of campers A, C, popups. 24 hour Walmart and alot of food around. Great coffee shop nearby too! and a Petsmart across the road!

Report Check-In

Nice parking lot and not too noisy. Many lights for safety. And a lot of other RV and vans.
