We had a quiet night in the dirt parking area near the guard tower. It wasn't guarded but it didn't seem to need it. There's a grocery store right there, hardware and also the the big mall. There was another overlander there too.

Very nice place to spend one night. We went to the information desk a asked for permission to stay. The guardian on duty give us the okay to stay, but only for one night. We stayed in the back of the mall (parking E1). Very quiet night. This is the perfect location for border crossing.

We asked the security guards and they ask us to park on the gravel lot close to the tower.
We had a very quiet night and felt safe.

We slept here with out any problem as described you have to park under the tower and in the flat gravel in front of entry.

Best option for a night between borders, place as described below. An addition would be that they tell you to park on the gravel section at the roundabout close to the tower - for better night security. The lady from the information desk was very friendly!

Parking lot is wide, clean and without issues if you stay overnight. Mall offers lots of shops and restaurants, WiFi only at the foodcourt.

In the end just a supermarket parking lot 😉, but safe.

Stayed 1 night on our way to Nicaragua. We can highly recommend it. We felt absolutely safe. Gate is closed during the night, there is a security and it is free. As described before just go to the information desk in building number 3.

We stayed one night. Just ask the person at the info desk. She was very kind and obtained the authorization from her boss. There is security all night. Quiet

Just as described, we asked for permission and stayed one night for free. Very quiet and safe. Wifi in the food court, restrooms inside from 9am to 9pm.

Justo como lo describen pedimos permiso y nos quedamos una noche gratis en el parqueo. Muy silencioso y seguro. Wifi en la parte de comidas, servicios sanitarios de 9am a 9pm dentro del mall.

The access road is completely wrong on the GPS, it's almost opposite the roundabout on the main road.

Parking lot at Unimall Plaza, Choluteca. Ask in administration before, friendly people. We stayed one night, very quiet. Free. Good Wifi. Safe. Water.
