Something not right?

Description

Didn’t see any signs prohibiting overnight parking, stayed Friday night and left around 9 am. The museum opens at noon on Saturday’s. Nobody bothered us. Fairly quiet although there were some cars coming and going from the lot during the night. No facilities.

Latest Check-Ins

Still a good place to spend the night, if not a little bit noisy.

Report Check-In

Good sized level lot with plenty of cars overnighting. We were the only Van/RV and didn’t get bothered. Lots of road noise and people pulling into the lot to blast music until we’ll after 1am but this could have been a fluke 🤷🏼‍♂️ overall not a bad spot for one night

Report Check-In

Big lot that goes all the way around, tucked our van away in a dark corner and had a great night's sleep.

Report Check-In

We spent two nights over the weekend with my parents with their 19ft RV and my 19ft van as well. The first night we parked in the middle parking lot and the second in the lower parking lot. You have to be careful because the upper car parks are often requisitioned for various events, including those at the Hollywood Bowl. Close your side lockers tightly or don't put anything of value in them because the RVs parked next to us had their side lockers opened and two suitcases stolen. Otherwise rather safe parking.

Report Check-In

Spent the night here. Zero issues. I was one of maybe 30 cars. Two vans. Felt completely safe. Would camp again.

Report Check-In

Parked here last night, looked to be a couple other vans in the parking lot had no issues. I noticed there is an upper parking lot past the picnic areas that has been empty every time I’ve been to it, has the same signs as this lot basically just says that vehicles need to be moved for specific dates so I would assume it’s okay to park up there as well and it’s way more private and quiet. I feel like the main lot may be safer at night since there are tons of other cars but I have parked in the upper lot during the day and it seems super chill.I’m not sure if there is a reason no one parks up there but if you don’t mind sleeping in a dark lot by yourself and the main lot is too loud/crowded for you the upper lot might be worth a shot.

Stayed 1 night, felt safe, would stay again. There is a picnic area at the back of the lot with tables and trash cans. Other picnic tables near the museum .
According to signage, this lot appears to belong to the nearby "Hollywood Bowl" amphitheater. There was a note at the entrance that cars must be removed from the lot on defined dates as it will be used for venues. I would suggest to check the amphitheater website for concert dates..
Most important is the "no oversize or commercial vehicle" sign, I figure your vehicle should fit within a single marked stall to not get fined... My 19'5" Sprinter was exceeding the marks by a
few inches, to give you an idea of the stall size. I wasn't fined luckily, don't know how much it is enforced.

Fine in a pinch. Lots of cars parked here. Probably an open secret among the locals that parking here is free game. Very little privacy unless you’re quite stealthy. Realized in the morning that there was a giant pile of crap right next to my car.. In the morning some people pulled up to walk their dogs and a homeless guy asked me about drug paraphernalia.

Report Check-In

Good place. Some shade. Picnic tables. Very big parking. Not a lot of people. Traffic on the road. Nearly all lights off during night and a strang car parked and turned around us at 3am. Maybe park in the middle wear the lights stay on. We left for the westhollywood parking lot.

nice spot especially if you aren’t to close to the street. stayed a couple nights no issues.

Report Check-In

They have 3 parking lots here, D1, D2 & D3. We parked in D2 (middle) lot and it was ok on Sunday night but lots of noise from the main road all night . Do Not park in D3 (smaller lot) as it is posted no camping!
