no more promotion please, we are tired of discussing every little thing with people they expect to stay almost for free. Please remove our place from your site , thank you.

Report Check-In

Camping is closed, only with vehicle storage available.
Too many problems with uneducated campers

Report Check-In

For campingguest are the Hotel amnesty (pool)close! it is not as written on the homepage. we moved to green river!

Report Check-In

Stayed 3 nights. 350 pesos for two adults with a pickup camper incl. electricity. Bathrooms very clean incl. hot water. Regarding some of the previous comments: this place is a romantic hotel, very beautiful garden, fantastic pool and bar area. The camping sites are outside of the hotel garden but in a garden of their own. If you want to behave like a typico camper/overlander stay there if you want to take advantage of the hotel amenities, behave like a hotel guest. Harald is a friendly and helpful host. Try contacting in advance.

Report Check-In

Very unfriendly owner and you have to camp on a untended grassy area. He asked 350$MXN without electricity per car and night. We didnt stay. Better go to the hotel green river!

Report Check-In

We thought this place was highly overrated. We arrived when it was 39 degrees with our 72-year-old mother. Had to park on an unshaded piece of desert that is also used as storage. In the intensive heat, we couldn’t use the pool even though there were no guests in the hotel. We had to pay 350 pesos, no electricity.
The owner treated us badly, very unfriendly guy. We were overwhelmed with his attitude towards us, not recommended!!

Report Check-In

Nice quiet place, great bathrooms with hot water, friendly dog on the campsite. Make reservation in order to assure somebody will be there to attend you, its not for drop in camping anymore because only few campers are on the road.

Report Check-In

Good place to stay. We paid 200 peso plus 50 electricity and 50 wifi.
Very nice toilet en shower. Taxi to down town 40 peso. Owner is very helpful.

Report Check-In

Campground in walking distance to downtown Izamal. Nice and clean bathrooms. We payed 200 pesos for a dry campsite. Security is high because gates are always closed.

Report Check-In

Well, the hotel was full so we couldn't use the pool. The price is now 200 + 50 for electricity. But this is for two people, extra charge of 75 for each other, including the kids (total of 425 for us without electricity). The hotel looks very nice and clean but because were looking for a pool to cool down, we left for a cenote close by (SouthEast in Holca) where we could sleep for cheaper.

Report Check-In

This place was lovely. Close to town and pyramids. Very nice bathrooms. Wifi and pool access was additional so we decided not to pay extra. $150 pesos just for a camp spot.

Report Check-In

We enjoyed this place - food in the restaurant is delicious! Not cheap but fair value for us. If you eat in the restaurant you get free pool access which our kids really enjoyed. Bathrooms one of the best in Mexico.

Report Check-In

We confirm it s a nice quiet place, Harald is realy nice an attend person. Restaurant is tasty to, meal cooked by his wife, Sonja.
We aldo apreciated the bar by the pool, kind of palapa.
Panamareconissimo...your's.

Report Check-In

Forgot to add that 250mxn included electricity and wifi. Unfortunately wifi was too slow to use, timed out before loading Internet sites or downloading/sending e-mails. We used Los Arcos Restaurant in town which has great wifi.

Report Check-In

Spent 7 nights here exploring the local area, price was 250mxn per night with the 7th night free. As stated previously bathrooms are of a very good standard, hot water was intermittent but never freezing cold. We didn't eat in the restaurant or use the pool but both areas looked very nice. Being a dog lover helps! There are a total of 8 that you are likely to meet around the site, all are friendly. Harold was always happy to provide information regarding the surrounding area.

Report Check-In

Nice and very secure campground around the side of the hotel. Has nice bathrooms and showers. Good bar with decent wifi at the hotel. It rained while we were staying there and got a bit muddy.

Report Check-In

150 pesos without hookup, 50 pesos for wifi. Extra charge for dumping, but one bucket of gray water was free. Nice restrooms and showers, best in 3 months camping in Mexico.

Report Check-In

Hey....we had such a nice stay. Harald, the owner, keep his Hacienda at an real european Level, and we are lucky he gives Overlander like us the possebility
to stay for an real affordable price. And the best thing: in the evening you can sit at an real relaxed pool deck, with smooth jazzmusic, and celebrate a dinner....yeah with metal knife and spoons...and you get real delicious food served, cooked by his wife Sonja. Just close your eyes....and make a break from Overlanding....worth every peso.
The Basic cost of the campspot is 150pesos for two people . This is real cheap for yucatan. We found it more than fair.....if you want more, to pay a little more, like using the pool or using the Inet.
Thank you, Harald, for keeping this Place alive for us Overlanders. This is the real "Overlander Oasis"

Report Check-In

Nice, rural place for overlander. Super nice and clean bathrooms, best we ever found on a campground. If you are selfcontained you just pay 150.- MN Pesos per night for 1 or 2 people. More people extra charge . If you want electricity and internet there is an extra fee for both or even a reduced package available. Pool is for hotel guests only, but the owner allows to swim if you are having some consumption at the hotel bar or restaurant. Depending also in the behaviour of people :-) since hotel is a boutique hotel. If hotel is full, pool is only for hotel guests.
Good thing here is - you only pay for what you need.
We enjoyed very much our stay and we do highly recommend this place.

Report Check-In

ridiculous. 230 pesos for camping, PLUS 100 pesos for both kids PLUS you have to spend 100 pesos at the bar to use the pool.
we left.
maybe an overlander in the past but an expensive one now.

Report Check-In

Ok for one Night.. Bathrooms are very clean. If you are camping your not welcome to use the Pool. You have to pay extra 100p for the Pool or you have to drink for min 100p at the bar.

Report Check-In

was disappointing, camping area just an untended garden with gravel pits to place your rig - away from hotel area, which you have to pay extra to use.
pricelist with extrafee for nearly everything (photo)! this is not mexican-standard, although the place is nothing special!!
PRO: walking distance into beautiful Izamal, clean bathroom (showers cold)

Report Check-In

Very nice owner, Harald. Paid 230p for Wi-Fi and power. Got here at sunset. Ditto on bathroom comments and pool. quiet at night. showers were not hot.

Report Check-In

really nice and need place to stay , had a great time with the Host Harald fellow Austrian and his wife Sonja. lots of Animals the say Hi.

Precision: pour acceder au camping il est preferable d arriver par la calle 16. Au bout de cette rue, grande porte double noire barree! si personne pour ouvrir, vous devez vous rendre a l entree principale de l hotel et sonner pour faire ouvrir la porte. Endroit tranquille, tres propre. Proprietaire et son personnel tres accueillants.

Report Check-In

Was ok ... 200 pesos basic camping , Internet only at pool area extra 50 .. Kinda like a petting zoo / hotel / campground/ restaurant all rolled into one ... Many dogs (8) ... Worked good for an overnight stay

Report Check-In

200 MX per night with no hook up. Did fill with water when we left but the dump station wasn't usable. The top of the dump station was at 19" so too high for us. Showers were good sometimes and other times only cold water. But very clean. Pool lovely; wifi only at pool and extra 50 MX per day. Sites not level and area rocky. Lots of scrub bushes that would appeal to some and not others. Sheep and dogs. Lots of mosquitoes. Stayed 2 nights, but wouldn't stay longer. Easy walk into town.

Report Check-In

Nice Campground for overlanders, clean showers and restrooms.

Report Check-In

This hacienda is a beautiful relaxation haven. It's one of our favorite campsites and B&Bs yet. We were only going to stay a night and ended up staying three! The grounds are as charming as the hosts, Harold and Soniya. As other folks have commented, the bathrooms are luxurious, the pool refreshing and the food delicious. Other pluses- the place is walking distance to the historic town of Izamal and Harold is a back-in-the-day overlander.

Report Check-In

Nice campground within walking distance of the great little town of Izamal. Very good facilities. Friendly owner. Paid $40 for excellent WiFi. Also paid $150 for car, tent-trailer and 2 persons. Recommended.

Report Check-In

Nice campground with very good facilities. Within walking distance to the magic place of Izamal. Great WiFi for M$40. Paid M$150 without electricity for two people, car and tent-trailer. Highly recommended.

Report Check-In

Nice place for our two tents and two vehicles, we even had a guard dog sleep under our Range Rover all night. Nicest shower in a campground we have ever seen.

Report Check-In

Was so nice we came back a second time. Stayed 5 nights over easter weekend. Paid $200 a night for power and internet this time. Not much noise even less at night. Bathrooms are excellent and cleaned (properly) daily.

Report Check-In

Stayed 2 nights. $140 per night, no hookups. Bathrooms are excellent, best we've seen in a long time.

Report Check-In

Great place, natural kept, very nice hosts, extreme good and clean bath rooms ( European standards) gravel campsites to prevent bringing dirt into your camper, shady campsites with electricity and sunny campsites for solar equipped campers without electricity hook up. Large entrance gate on Calle 33 for bigger riggs, easy to drive in. Call first at the hotel entrance inaround the corner on Calle 18 to get the gate opened when you arrive the first time. Dump and fresh water available.
Rates for two people 140.- Pesos , full package with electricity and WiFi 200.-- Pesos. You also can get massages. There is a cosy bamboo bar and a Palapa restaurant very good meals ( non public) restaurant on reservation only because all food will be bought fresh every day and cooked at the moment..recommendation : Schnitzel Vienna style :-) reasonable prices on food and drinks
Staying 7 days you just pay 6 days, Storage for campers and RV available , very secure place and in walking distance to the historic center of Izamal. Supermarket and other services in town. They do have a homepage: www.campingmexico.jimdo.com where you can get more information and make reservations also. The owner was also overlander many years ago and knows what is needed when you are travelling.

Report Check-In

One of the greatest bathrooms in Mexican campgrounds. Watch for ticks though from the sheep !

Report Check-In

Nice and neat camping in Izamal, led by Austrian Harald. Place very earthy and muddy when we were there unfortunately. So is definitely not recommended when it rains. Although he has parking on the stone space, but which are occupied mostly by motorhomes. WC & shower top. Internet slow, but is soon to be much better. Price is 140Pesos/night without internet or electricity. With the internet there is an extra 40. For 200 you have electricity, internet and can also use the pool area. He also has many dogs, but at night it is totally quiet.
