Description

We arrived very late in the night and parked on the basketball court, but there is also a plain grassy area next to it. A man came out of his house to check on the noise of the car and said we wouldn't have problems camping there. There is also a public toilet with shower and sinks outside, next to the volleyball court, some meters away from there. In the morning, people didn't seem concerned with our presence. Very nice and friendly place. Free.

Nice place to spend the night before crossing into Peru. Although, if it’s rainy season, you may want to park on the road and walk on the green grass to inspect for muddy areas before driving in.

No showers or bathrooms or electricity that we found. But there are bathrooms in the nearby tienda in the back corner of town. So you can buy some beers or snacks from the tienda in exchange for toilet privileges.

Rooftop tent camped on the grassy area next to the court. Moved under the roof of the court when it started to rain in the middle of the night. Friendly people, very quiet, free public toilets, shower and sinks available nearby. Nearby store sells cold beer.
