Boondocking along the road to Bisti. The road past the parking area is washed out due to a collapsed road (rainfall). Still passable for high clearance vehicles, but not RVs.

No problem getting here in my prius, parking off the main road south of the parking lot. Level ground, gorgeous views, one bar of service sometimes.
Report Check-InI am surprised there aren't more reviews of this area as it seems pretty popular. There are a handful of large spots to park on the way to the trailhead parking lot and more beyond. The road to the trailhead is bumpy but not bad at all; however, right after the parking lot is a huge dip in the road. Hiking in the badlands is otherworldly. The pit toilets at the trailhead are clean and stocked with tp. There is no shade but plenty of sun to power you up!
Report Check-InVery level spot for larger rigs .2 mile south overlooking the parking lot.
Report Check-InNice level area overlooking the badlands. .2 miles from the parking lot which has been busy with both day hikers and overnight vehicles.
