We were recommended to Antonio by a Panamerican traveller's Facebook group post. Antonio was fantastic in both helping us inspect a van we were interested in buying, and then servicing and repairing the van we did buy. he speaks English having lived in the US with his family and helped with everything from our air conditioner, roof leaks, shock absorbers, and brake lights, to even helping us get the right battery to power our van. he also let us store the car with him when we took a detour out of Cancun to hang out with friends and dropped us off at our accommodation that night. Antonio was really helpful and kind and if he wasn't sure about something (such as the electronics on our central locking) he would check with his electrics guy and translate back to us. price was fair and he even cleaned our car for us! His communication on WhatsApp isn't as good as in person but you can contact him first on +5219982251145. We would highly recommend him

Can recommend this workshop, I did not have an appointment but they immediately changed the engine oil of my Hilux (I brought the oil and filter) and greased the drive shaft for 450peso. good communication in English.

Got told that the shop will soon change location to a bigger one...

Busy place but helped me immediately. Communication was easy because Antonio is fluently in English. Great work. After 2 hours everything was done for a fair price.

Antonio is a beauty of a human and we are grateful to have met him & his guys & for the honest, solid, beyond fair priced work they did on our 1979 Ford e350 24ft cutaway motorhome. Best shop in the Cancun, best shop in the continent!!

Very good Mechanics. Even knows a lot about European cars. They had time immediately and solved our problems with the brakes and did some service work. We could sleep in their property which is locked and secured by camera. The price was very reasonable. Highly recommend

We had a hole in our AdBlue tank. Antonio helped us very quickly and in 4 hours the hole in the plastic tank was closed and we could continue our journey. We could have spent the night there if it had taken longer. Thank you very much, perfect service.

What can I say about Antonio and his team? From the minute we arrived at his garage, he took care of us and our mechanical problems. He is knowledgeable, welcoming and friendly and fully bilingual English Spanish. Do not hesitate to contact him and in addition, he knows diesel engines. He makes sure to have the most economical solution.

antonio is a great Guy and mechanic! At first we were a bit in doubt wether to go because of the one bad review but we went and got helped great. We had a problem with our clutch (vw t3) and needed a part that's nowhere to be found. he managed to source alternative parts, offered to help with more and after a good lunch and a chat we were on our way. would definetly recommend his place. (he had kittena again)

Antonio was recommended by Paul from Cancun RV. We were not disappointed. After about a 15 min wait, they took of the starter from our Ford E-150 van and rebuilt it. They ordered the parts and within 2 hours we were on our way. All that costed about $US 80. Excellent service.

Antonio is not only a good mechanic but also a fait person and a smart guy. I came to him asking for a mechanical check up and also a bunch of little problems needing a handyman. He fixed everything spot on and did the check up and as he did not find anything wrong on my Laika Iveco 2005 he did not push me into changing anything... Honest and fair price... Highly recommended

Espereramos poder volver pronto!
Un abrazo
Nacho & familia

Had to replace an axle seal and Antonio was very helpful. His team work under his supervision and are good workers. The job was done properly and in good timing. Had to take the axle to machine shop and they too, did a good and quick job. I’d definitely recommend his shop.

Came here for basic maintenance of oil change and front brakes and full greasing. I supplied all the parts and Antonio personally did all the work very well. he used grease, rtv, anti-seize liberally. was slow and meticulous in the work, making sure everything went back correctly, something I really appreciate in a mechanic. took 3 hours, no appointment, okay price. would recommend.

AVOID THIS PLACE IF SEARCHING FOR A PROPER MECHANIST

We went to Antonio’s place after reading good reviews to check a van we wanted to buy. He’s perfectly bilingual English-Spanish which is super confortable.

He was very confident with the state of the combi we wanted to buy, saying there were just a few reparations that needed to be done in order to drive without any trouble for at least the next six months. He assures us that the price for him to make these small reparations would be less than 6.000 $M which was already quite a deal for us, but certified us he could get original VW pieces to replace the broken ones (motor axe & a small oil leak).

After one whole day where nothing really happened on our van reparations wise, we were surprise to hear that he was actually not a specialist in VW combi.

The second day, we decided to stay at the garage, even if we felt inconfortable with the idea of putting pressure, but nothing was done if we weren’t on site. We then realized that he didn’t got any original VW pieces but began to fix up other pieces together in order to fit them on our combi. At the end, he wanted 6.750 $M arguing that is was nothing for us, European.

The worst is coming. We drove until Valladolid which is approx 150 km from Cancún. When we entered the town, the motor axe just popped out. The combi was in the middle of the street. Fortunately people came to help us to push the combi out of the road and we found a mechanist in few minutes. We called Antonio to understand how it was possible and he just told us that it was probably too many grease on the screws (!). All the screws he used were 1) not correct for the model of the combi 2) not fixed. The mechanist in Valladolid changed all of them very quickly for 300$M.

Antonio literary put our lives in danger and screwed up with our combi. When we asked for explanations he just told us : “I’m sorry”.

One half star for the chat.

I also join a picture of the "fixing"

Antonio and his shop are some of the best around. Cannot recommend enough! I pulled in this afternoon after reading on IO to get my oil changed. I’m a bit of mechanic myself and prefer to do my own work. However I’m unable to dispose of oil properly while on the road and figured having a shop take a peek at the ol sprinter was good after 6 months. Pulled in. Met Antonio and we went straight to work. Changed oil. Filter. Some fuel lines and minor welding on my rig. Trickle charging house batteries as I’m having some power issues and I can say I’d let this guy touch my rig any day. Super kind. Super knowledgeable, polite. Speaks perfect English. Has great stories Wonderful family and will even let you stay on property if they have the space. Clean bathrooms. What else can you ask for. If you are in Cancun I’d suggest you pay him a visit and support local business. I was charged 400peso. Paid 500. And Would happily paid more for the quality of professionalism I found here.
Do your car a favor and let this shop take a look.

Stopped here to get an oil change, fuel filter change and to try and equalize my deep cycle batteries. I can’t speak on Antonio’s mechanical ability as I didn’t have anything really done, BUT, Antonio’s personality is A1. He is super accommodating and helpful. He speaks perfect English and the lot he has is big enough to park inside of it (no sketchy street parking like some places).

We paid 350 for an oil change + fuel filter change and then 300 for electricity for equalizing the batteries.

I would go back for sure.

Ps. He has 3 baby kittens (just born) that are adorable and he is giving away 2 if you want a kitten
