Description

Campsite is run by 4x4 adventure company Coyote Trail (it's on Google Maps under this name). It is located in quiet residential area. Two grassy pits for tents, common room with toilet and shower + additional outside toilet and taps. The campsite is nearly completed - as of now they are working on the electricity, wifi and finishing the kitchen. The driveway can accommodate two 4x4 and 2-4 bikes inside (locked gate), there is also street parking available for bigger rigs but please check with them first if it is possible. Security guard is there 24h. 500 rupees per night. Shopping area with cafes, restaurants, photocopy, printing etc is within 5mins walking distance. The owner, Mr Marwat is a legend, great guy combining all the best of Pakistani people in one person. Couldn't recommend meeting him and staying at his place more. A gem of a place set in a very quiet suburb of Islamabad. Full facilities and everything an Overlander could require. Sana is the perfect host and very knowledgeable about places to visit and where you can stay/camp around Pakistan. A comfortable en-suite room is available at $10 per night or camping, in a vehicle or on the grassed lawn for $3 per night.
Highly recommended for staying in Islamabad.

This is a great place to stay in a quiet residential area. Suitable for vehicles the size of a jeep or for overnight stays in your own tent. A sleeping room with shower is also available.
Sana is a great host who is very well linked in the city of Islamabad and Pakistan in general. As an offroad enthusiast he has many tips about suitable routes, places etc..
If you want to know a lot about Pakistan, Sana is a great help.

A great little space setup by the very charismatic Mr Sanaullah Marwat (affectionately known as Sana). Sana has generously set this place up to assist overlanders as the only other facility in Islamabad was shutdown. It has a common room for reading/TV, bathroom, undercover area, 2 grassed areas for tents, and parking for 2 cars + bikes. The compound is secure, fenced and gated. Located in a good quiet area with shops walking distance. We were the first to stay (facility is brand new - grass just planted, apparently more grass and plants now) and shared our time with a German couple in a Patrol and a Polish couple on a GS1200. WIFI is available from 6pm - 9pm daily, or on request. Charging for devices is available though the facility if run off solar. HW showers available in winter. Sana is very well travelled throughout Pakistan and is a wealth of knowledge and advice. First night is free then $3/RS300 thereafter. Contact Sana on +923009595007 at least 24 hours before arriving to ensure space/the compound is open.
