Description

Visitor center parking good for overnight. Has a few long spots for big rigs. Close to interstate so there is noise but little to no traffic or other people close by so much better than rest stop or truck stop. Check out Apple Annie’s in the morning :)

Latest Check-Ins

Had a pleasant enough night. When I awoke in the morning there was a police truck monitoring the street, almost as if to guard. No one bothered me.

Good place first a good night sleep. Close to the highway so some noise. Very safe. 3 Bars Verizon LTE.

nice place to park for the night. parked by the info building. went to the store in the morning before we left. got bread & apple butter, a little pricey. lots of knick nacky items. quiet night.

The workers at Apple Annie's said no overnight in their lot. Next door is a vacant Visitors center. The road noise is awful, and you are next to the State Trooper annex. I spoke to the troopers, they said get a hotel room. If you belong to Harvest Host, drive 5 minutes to Cattlemsns Rest Saloon. Quiet, great drinks and you can watch the freight trains go by in the distance. We were disappointed in Apple Annies.

We stayed here 2 nights. Some road noise, but not too bad. And woke up to a really peaceful secluded location. There is a picnic table and some public art.

Our visit to Willcox was to attend Apple Annie's apple picking and craft fair and most importantly pancake breakfast. That was at the Orchards, and then we went to their Produce Farm which has a pumpkin patch and corn maze. So, while we left before the store opens at 9am, we spent plenty of money at their other 2 locations and had a great time. The items we got were very good (especially apple bread) and we recommend going into the store to shop.

We arrived just prior to close and bought some delicious apple bread. I asked the young cashier if anyone would mind us sleeping in our camper van and she said that she didn't think anyone would.

We spent a quiet, peaceful night all by ourselves.

As someone else mentioned, the Alaskan RV Park is about a half hour east of here, with full hookups for $20. The Cattle Rest Saloon is across the overpass from Apple Annie's and they have full hookups for $25.

Apple Annie’s parking lot. Close to the highway so some noise from the trucks but not bad. Two other people overnight and very safe, next to police station.

Spent a peaceful night here. Nice flat parking. I was still there when Apple Anne's opened and no-one said anything. No signs cops right there. It was good.

Visitor center moved to downtown but overnight stay ok, Highway patrol station next door , Apple Annie’s , a cute gift store and pie store on site. Quiet and dark, great night

Just got here. After reading everyone’s comments I decided to stop for the nite. There is also the Arizona highway Patrol right next door. I went over to ask if it were okay to stay the nite. The policeman didn’t see it as a problem. At least I will feel safe with him coming and going.

visitors center is permanently closed but Apple Annie's is still here. We asked if we were able to stay overnight and were told no problem. Kind of ends up being like a Harvest Host but no membership required. We bought fudge. Store has many yummy options and beautiful merchandise. Good spot for a night , trafic noise from the highway a night. level and has a picnic table and garbage can.

we stayed last night, with no problem the information center is completely closed, there's a couple big RV space is the parking lot, but the restaurant/bakery open and they make the best apple crisp pie.

A jewel of a stop. It’s off the beaten trail so big thank you to whom ever originally found this place. It’s a small parking lot so our 24’ Class C was an easy fit, arriving a little after 6pm with the parking lot being empty. The 40’ Class A towing a large trailer came in after us in the dark and with some jockeying, was able to find a spot. They were gone before 8am. Apple Annie’s next door opens at 9am so if you are a larger rig, may want to plan on being gone before they open. We are leaving with a fresh cherry apple pie. Yummy.
There is some traffic noise from the highway but it’s far enough away that you can still get a good nights sleep. Again, great find.

Stopped here right before sunset
No one was here and was a little worried but an rv parked here as well. My 24 ft bus fit perfectly.
Right next to a sheriff station. Saw 2 cars but they didn’t bother me. You can hear the freeway but got lighter as the night went on.
Perfect. Long spot and saw the sunset! Walked my dog and yes be careful there are pricklies. But great area for dog and space. Can’t wait to try the breakfast at aunties.

As a previous person mentioned, TA stop and Holiday Inn were full of vehicles, but I had this place all to myself. I didn’t notice any noise. Annie’s does indeed have yummy things :)

Close to the highway but surprisingly quiet after midnight. Paved parking lot, if you look around you can find a level spot. No wifi because tourist center is closed. Picnic table available. Apple Annie's Orchard has delicious apple pie and a great gift shop.

Considering close to the road, this is a rather quiet place. The people at Apple Annie's are very nice and the pie is delicious! Park at the parking lot in front of Annie's. Nice views at the mountains. Dont parc on the gravel lot at the back-its forbidden.
no animities. But dump station nearby.

Report Check-In

We arrived after sunset and place was deserted. I was initially worried because we were by ourselves and nearby TA center and Holiday Inn were full of trucks and RVs. However we slept fine and nobody bothered us. Highway noise a lot quieter than highway rest stops
