Description

We arrived at 7pm and although the guard would let us go to Jaguar Inn, we'd need to come back at 6am here to buy tickets losing 40/50 minutes the next morning. We asked if we could stay overnight in the lot on the left to the entrance and the guard of the restaurant said OK and he is looking after the place during the night so it was safe, super quick to get tickets being the first in line and free

Latest Check-Ins

Showed up around 4 PM, bought my tickets for the next day, and then parked next to the tour guide office for the night. Super quiet and safe as there is a military guard stationed within eyesight of you at the park gate. Little cafe and store, and there’s a Super24 right down the road. Tip: people will start lining up at the gate between 5:30 and 6. They most likely don’t have tickets yet and are waiting for the ticket office to open at 6, so if you already have your ticket just pass them all in the left lane at 6 and enter the park.

Report Check-In

We arrived at the gate around 5:30 p.m. We were able to buy tickets for the following day.
We slept just before the gate in front of the gift shops and the tour offices. The gatekeeper recommended that location for us to park and sleep with no issues.
It did get busy around 6:00 a.m. for the sunrise tours. We left at 6:00 a.m. as the gate was open and enjoyed Tikal before the crowd showed up.

We slept here last night and it was really fine indeed. You can buy your tickets the day before after 15:00. You can use the bathrooms at the ticket office until they close (that was around 18:30 for us, but I think closing time of the ticket office is 17:30). The next day you can enter easily early. The parking inside Tikal is about 20 min drive from here. From there it’s 10-15 min until the site (but it depends on which route and which complexes you want to see first).

Report Check-In

We arrived late in the afternoon so the ticket office was closed and we cannot buy tickets or camping permits. We stayed here overnight for free and felt pretty safe as there is a guard whole night.

Take cash, you cannot pay with credit card for the tickets.

Very quiet, right at the entrance to the ruins. Highly recommend getting going at 6-7am, when it’s cool & quiet. Bus loads arrive at 10:30. We were out by 1pm. Worth going.!!

Report Check-In

We got here in the afternoon and asked permission at one of the managers of the shop.
At 6am there was quite a line of people buying tickets, luckily we bought them the afternoon before.

Report Check-In

We arrived at the end of the day and bought our tickets for the next day. We asked for the authorization to stay there for the night with a 24 feet on the boss of the grocery store. The next day of the opening of the park at 6 AM we are mounted on the site. Well respect the speed limitations, parking agents notes the starting time and arrival. I do not know if he / her verbaisal.

we spend the night here, guards are frendly, they stay all night long at the gates, and have lights on the road witch makes everything more safe. the guards are highly armed, we felt very safe and had a good night! at 6 am we entered at the Park and visit, this place is freaking amazing! recommend! the offered toilets if we needed too. Remember o bring money to pay the park, credit is not accepted...
