Camp on an unused road. The road was built some time long in the past but never used (except by cattle as a track). Turn off from the main road (at -22.104262, 26.586149) and head North for 1.3km along a sandy road (didn't need 4WD) until you reach an intersection then turn right. We went about 50m down, but you could go further if you wanted to be really hidden. Keep in mind what ever rig you have, you will be reversing out, because there isn't really enough room to turn around, its narrow. No one passed on the roads nearby, they don't seem used much.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
not the nicest wildcamp but it makes perfectly the job for one night. it is flat and completely hidden, totally remote. to come here enter the track at the IO point name "unused road - start", then follow the sandy scratchy track for appr 1km
Report Check-InSmall gate is closed, we went to the next gate which has a curvy road sign on it. There is a farmers house at the end of the road, went to say hi but he doesn’t speak english. And camped in the bush not visible. Will open a new marker there
Report Check-InGood place for an overnight spot. Quiet during the night, we saw only a snake on the sandy way.
Report Check-InWe stayed here again some 5 months later. Campsite is still good, and quiet. As in the description you need to drive on 1.3km from the main road. The track that you camp on is narrow so you need to reverse out.
Report Check-InWe passed it but there (where the point is in the map) is only fence. Maybe the access is approx 1 km north (?). There was a small gate which was definitely closed. So we didn't try. Furthermore (so far we could see) the sandy track was very narrow because of the bushes. Certainly nothing for a truck!!
