Beautiful site on a river, just off the road between San Juanico and Las Barrancas. Easy access for cars, vans, pickups or a small RV depending on the time of year. Just enough shelter from the N or NW winds when it's too windy on the beach. There is only minimal vehicles passing by during the day and almost none at night, none of which can be heard at the campsite.
This looks like a spot the locals may visit as unfortunately there was trash around. We did our part to pack the bottles and cans out. Please do your part to keep it clean for others.
Great spot for bird watching as they hunt on the river. I tried fishing but with no luck. Just a short hike would get you to the beach. The road continues to the beach but looked impassable, at least for our heavy camper.

be aware that there is deep sand that isn't highly visible in this campsite. we got stuck once and helped someone else out of a sand trap a few days later. lots of surfers at the river mouth. great stars.
