Latest Check-Ins

A lot of open flat areas to post up at. Some primitive fire pits. Very nice camping off the highway. Still can hear the highway noise, but very faint.

Report Check-In

Arrived at night and made what I thought was a wrong turn according to my GPS, but there are tons of options out here. Parked a ways from some other campers in a section clearly marked “14 Day BLM Camping”, near a fire ring someone else made before. A few ATVs have passed, otherwise very peaceful.

Report Check-In

Plenty of level ground just west of Mitchell Mine Road. Small rocks embedded in dirt in parking area keep mud and dust down. Not crowded. Good cell service. Paved part of road leading here is very rough when county maintenance ends. Gravel road coming south is graded. just a few OHV passing each day.

Report Check-In

Good views, much quieter and less campers.

Report Check-In

This is an area used for many nomad gatherings, including the Par-T-R. The road going in is old asphalt that is no longer maintained and is falling apart. Many people choose to drive on the dirt shoulder to avoid the nasty potholes. Once you get onto Mitchell Mine Rd., it is a well maintained dirt road. Camping is allowed to the west of Mitchell Mine Rd. There is no camping on the east side of the road. Excellent Verizon and AT&T signal, just expect slow speeds in January when Quartzsite is packed with travelers.

Report Check-In

Good spot for an overnight. Plenty of room to spread out. Traffic noise from I-10 in the background. 2 bars Verizon LTE.
