Description

Nice large flat spot with fire ring where even big rigs would fit with great views over the mountains. There is no shade so fine I presume for not too warm weather either way there are few shaded spots down the road in Stanislaus forrest. It is a 30 minutes drive from the NP visitor center down the valley and 10 minutes from the fork heading towards mono lake via tioga pass.

perfection imo. sun for solar, basic signal VZW, good starlink, views, great for off leash, pretty level, close to entrance and gas station, roads are awesome, central. as good as it gets.

this is ok for a group spot but if someone else tried to park here I would ask them to leave.. it's not THAT big.

Great spot like others have said, easy access but if you're a big rig just know that you'll likely need to come in from the east off of 120...Tight turn! Couple other smaller spots, no one here this time of year even though there's no snow at the moment! Paved road isn't maintained east of this spot, there was a large snow mound blocking the way from Rush Creek Lodge. Perfect Starlink since there's no shade!

Nice spot, quiet and no one bothers you. But people, clean up your poop and trash... really, that's the reason why places like this might be banned for campers.

great spot, no issue getting my 27' travel trailer. some trash I picked up, leave it better than you found it!

Decent spot for a night between days at Yosemite. The road is paved, but a few big potholes so take it slow. The spots on this road did all fill up the night I stayed but they are all well spread out. At this spot I had 2 bars Verizon, 1 bar TMobile.

paved road with dirt pull offs. We droved whole road, because it was quite crowded and counted around 6-7 nice spots. Most of them for 1-2 cars/RV. Finally we stayed close to marked place just next to the small hill (across the closed Sunset Inn Yosemite Cabins).

Pretty much the only spot where we have service on this road (1-2 bars Verizon, 1 bar t-mobile). Spent 2 nights here. Quiet, no issues. Fire pit.

Big old spot on the edge of some burn damage past some of the other spots, which were taken. No shade but great sunset

Super spot! Très tranquille, à plat. On était seul.

I like seeing recent check-ins so doing it here. perfect spot, 1 bar of LTE, nobody on the entire road. There is a gas station/general store 8min away and as aforementioned probably the closed you can get the NP entrance.

Stayed right down the hill from this spot. Roadside spot with a small fire ring. Fit our Revel in no problem. Space for two other similar sized rigs. 1 bar of 4G on AT&T. Full sunshine. Great views.

So far so good. I’ve been here for 1 hour and no cars passing by as of 8:57 PM. Fire ring is gone due to high fire danger. As of this writing and coming from Yosemite, the first turn off has a sign stating “no overnight parking or camping”. Go to the second turnoff about 2 miles down the road. There is no sign. If anybody bugs you, then just state there was noooooo sign!

This area is an ALL FIRE BAN! No charcoal grills or propane stoves to cook with. The integrity of Yosemite is at stake, and we overlanders will do our part to maintain its integrity as well as ours. Did I mention there was absolutely no trash in this spot at the time of this writing? 🙏🏼

Nice spot! Quiet, flat, and nice views. It can get windy and most of the trees in the area immediately surrounding it are burnt but I felt safe and comfortable. Saw a dozen deer right out my window when I woke up in the morning (:

Big open flat area at top of hill. 3 bars and LTE with Verizon plus amazing sunset. Great place to hit Yosemite National Park from in the morning.
