Something not right?

Description

Firstly this valley is at over 3000 feet and is much cooler than borrego springs. Fabulous views on drive up on twisty road, smaller rigs better suited. Well spaced out secluded sites amidst very rocky, hilly landscape, very scenic. Clean pit toilets only. Cell coverage at higher spots in campground.

Latest Check-Ins

We made it in our 26ft class c but we're just too big to camp anywhere here. All the spots were really steep as well, and they were almost all taken by vans and cars on a Fri morning at 9am. We did see one large-ish trailer tucked away in one of the prime back spots. Nice place for smaller vehicles.

Quiet no cell service. Clean toilets. Lots of other rigs. Many of the sites are not level and significant erosion on roads and near sites. Beautiful. Would stay again.

Report Check-In

Great views, easy access, lot of space, wild rabbits (?) jumping around, fire pits, no reception. 10/10 would stay again

A great spot with many short walks and good views over the valleys. We shared it with one other camper for the night. Sites are not too level but manageable. Our ATT signal was intermittent. Unfortunately, even though there are pit toilets here, people making a mess here. No access problems for our 22 ft C Class.

Previous posts are still accurate. Actually quite full but managed to find a spot. Be prepared find it cooler, particularly at night if you are coming from Borrego Springs or Salton. T-mobile non-existent.

Beautiful spot. Stars galore at night and great trails. Culp overlook is worth the quick walk out.

Any drive terrain will be fine at this site. I had 1-2 bars with AT&T. Comes with fire pits at most sites, somewhat uneven camping ground. Overall I enjoyed.

Came in after dark last night and woke up this morning to a beautiful dispersed campground.

Most sites have fire rings and there is a vault toilet. This campground is spotless and what a nice surprise given how many of the free campgrounds these days have had inconsiderate people leave them a mess. Will spend a few days here and bike and/or hike around the area. Free.

Report Check-In

Its free by the way. Also can be quite windy. The short hike to the overlook is really worth it.

great place to camp right off the road. Quiet, safe, and plenty of site. There is NO cell service so keep that in mind.
Pit toilet is clean and I think it keeps the camp ground cleaner and fly free with human waste all over. No bugs on this trip but it was very windy.

Report Check-In

Nice place up the mountain from Borrego Springs. Small spots more suited for car camping. Clean pit toilets.
