Moraine Park Campground will be closed for a major construction project beginning late May 2023 through early Summer 2024.
Report Check-InNice spot, lovely views, activities and walk. Winter conditions gave seldom park places, but we woke up here ready to spend the day and visit Estes NP. Wintertime, only bathroom. $30/rig with self-service.
Report Check-Inawesome campground. got here after 10pm on a sunday in January and no one was here so we just drove in and parked for the night. no one else here (maybe because of the insane amount of snow) and very peaceful overall. no amenities during winter
UPDATE: drove here to camp the next day 01/31/2023 and the gates were closed :( not sure when it will open for the season
Very quiet and relaxing. Good space for a fire and includes a picnic table

Be sure to check online as there were always spots open, or if you come in late ask at the kiosk. We were able to grab a spot Sunday night in C Loop and then another in A Loop for Monday-Wednesday. There are always cancelations!
Shuttle stop at entrance of campground and another down the hill off C Loop. Close to fishing off the Big Thompson and hiking at Cub Lake and Fern Lake. Looking forward to coming back!
