Description

Established campsite in the Osceola NF. You can stay on an big flat grassy area in the front, or behind in the Forest on single sites. each side comes with an picnic table and a fire pit. there is also a small building in front with flushing toilet, potable water and a shower! At the moment it's for free, but as like all campsite here it's proposed to get 10$ per night. Sites not too crowded. Groups of ATVs come on the weekends, though. Hounds a crossed the road are loud.

Good free campsite. Easy to find spots and access to bathrooms/shower, charging station. Dogs are crazy loud throughout the day though.

Free 14 day camping wonderful place to relax

Water trash and usb charging stations. Showers. Beautiful grounds. 6 miles down hard sand. Decent road

Didn’t see anything about $10. Read the sign board and it’s free still. As others have said front part is grass w bathroom but across from the house with 2700 dogs.

Parked around back side in the forest and parked by a small pond. Day after the rain so it was really muddy further back. Felt like I almost got stuck in the water and mud. Mud up to top of my wheels on Tacoma and needed 4x4 to get out.

Nice little spot with some hunter around I assume and one van life dude. In the morning I can truly say I’ve never heard that many dogs bark, yelp and howl at the same time in my life. Annoying yes but more of a spectacle. No joke like a hundred dogs it seems.

Le
Legit camp spot - safe - and yes dogs barking. I climbed the fire tower and watched the sunrise - a nice
Bonus (was unlocked).

Stopped for a quick sleep. Threw up a pop tent and slept like a baby. Very clean and quiet. Bathrooms and shower were awesome. Then….. The dogs!!!!!! Barking started at sunrise. It is what it is. Still a great sleep.

Good spot for free camping, ATT has 2 bars of LTE, works fine, Verizon has 1 bar of lte and doesn’t work all the well. Roads are good.

Great little campground with decently spread out sites. It's still free but that free comes with a cost, you will be greeted with the sounds of what sounds like a hundred hound dogs across the street and if you're into that, then you'll get lulled to sleep by that very same deafening sound. Clean flush toilet, portapotties, picnic tables, fire pits, and friendly camp host. It's a nice spot but just beware the sound of dogs barking in constant 24/7

A beautiful campsite in the oceola national forest there is water and trash with a cold shower great place to camp.

Probably the best free campground I’ve stayed at. They have plenty of sites and some of them are so private you feel totally alone in the gorgeous forest. It’s very well kept. Clean bathroom and shower with running water and potable water that you can fill up with. I had 1 bar if Verizon that was enough for basic needs. 14 day limit. Bumpy roads but my non 4x4 camper did fine.

Stayed here one night with my dog. It felt very private back in the forest. It was really wet when we went, but my van without 4x4 made it just fine. Very quiet and peaceful apart from some hunting dogs in the distance. We even saw a baby deer on the forest road on our way out!

Stayed here for a week and a half. There’s a bathroom with running water as well as an outdoor sink and shower. Didn’t see a spot for putting donations, otherwise it’s free. Only downside is the dogs across the road. There’s at least 60 hound dogs kept in tiny cages all day at that persons house. Really loud and saddening. The area is gorgeous though! (Please report them if you suspect abuse as well, we did.)

No T-Mobile cell service, loud dogs barking pretty much most of the night, bathrooms are closed, shower is open. potable water available.

beautiful area, poor t-mobile signal. stayed for one night. I didn't see the sign the previous user posted about nightly rate change, and it looked like the envelope receiver thingy was damaged, so it didn't really look like there was a place to put money. i wouldn't be surprised if I just completely missed the sign or if someone took it down.
This forest is beautiful. Right across the camp ground are some trailer homes and it sounds like they have hunting dogs, they scream and howl on and off though out the day and night, the further into the camp you go, the harder they are to hear. Big rigs will not able to fit in the rear camping areas. There is a front few camping spots by the restroom that a big rig would maybe be fine getting in and out of, even with a big rain, still a tight fit though. Not many people here, but you can tell some people stay for weeks at a time. Had very slow (0.5mbps) t-mobile service, with a weboost.
