Description

This is a small campsite run by a Mexican/Italian couple who are absolutely lovely, welcoming and do everything to make your stay pleasant. This to me is much more important than luxury facilities which you won’t find yet. There are 2 showers and clean toilets, a small kitchen you are allowed to use. There is electricity to charge your phone. you can see the stars and hear nothing but the sea. Walking to the centre of Mazunte takes about 15 minutes. A restaurant with wonderful view and good food is only minutes away.
The atmosphere is good for your soul.
150 Pesos. Not suitable for big rigs.
Fisherman comes by regularly to sell fish.

Truly: a magic paradise. Literally a stone’s throw from the quieter/cove part of Mazunte beach. Run by a cute Italian & French couple. They charge 150mxn per person per night. The shower is great and the flush toilet too. We didn’t need a water hookup but I’m sure there’s a hose. We ran an electric line under one of the palapas. All in all an absolute gem.

yea was a grand spot, full of long-time tent camping hippies:-) The owners were lovely and it was a stone throws away from the beach. They were happy to accommodate us even thought were were full. The toilets and showers were grand as well.
We only stayed a night. Big rigs stay away:-)

Shady, quiet place right at the beach. The price is 150 and only after a month goes down to 120. There's kitchen and Wi-Fi.. and it's clean. no more amenities..

Report Check-In

The price is 150 per person per day with a van. Under the trees so lot of shade but not suitable for big rvs at all. We actually didn’t stay and went instead to the football parking lot

Nice spot to camp. Shower, toilet and kitchen access. Stefano is really nice. 100p each to put the tent (we are cyclists, maybe more for a car). Beach is right there and beautiful !
Only negative point: there is a bar next to it with electro music... they stop the music at 22:30 though so that's okay

Just a really lovely place where we could pitch our tent under shading trees. Real positive and layed back vibe. Short Walk in the Center and directly at the (mostly empty) beach. Facilities super clean. The fridge and kitchen has been real plus! Thank you Stefano!

$150 pesos per person to camp in tent city but it was the only place available in the area. very little kitchen ware and quite messy
yupies and hippies everywhere 😝
water is very scarce in this area so there's a bucket to wash dishes, however I can't believe they've got a flushing toilet tho having compost toilets now a days...
Pet friendly campsite and beach

MAN, MAZUNTE HAS GOTTEN REALLY EXPENSIVE.

Report Check-In

There was no place for camper vans. Looks like only tent camping! The road to this place is narrow and steep, so not good for big rigs (sprinter van was tricky but ok)

This place is in wrong location - it is located at 15.66245, -96.56012

one of the other two places around here actually don't exist. the other place is tent camping only. we were able to manage to get into this place in our high Roof Ford Transit camper van. tight squeeze due to low trees but worked out. very basic amenities but good wifi and right at the beach. you can hear the waves at night. few bars around so maybe not the quietest spot but didn't get too crazy. walking distance to town and the view point at Punta Cometa.

We found this campsite by chance, great location with direct access to Mermejita beach. The owners are lovely, very welcoming and helpful. The site is cozy, with basic facilities- toilet, water for washing, small kitchen, WiFi. Would recommend and would definitely return. Perfect for relaxing on the beach for a few days.

This place is right before Cabañas Playa on the right when approaching from the village. Owners are very welcoming and helpful. Bathroom and shower are simple but clean. You can also rent one of their cabañas (I don’t know the price since we slept in our van). Fast WiFi. Beautiful garden and private access to the beach.

Report Check-In

After extensively looking around in this area and speaking to the Italian owner of the cabañas at these GPS cords she said “absolutely no camping here” but offered us a cabaña for 1800mxp. Either the GPS cords are wrong or this place no longer offers camping.

Okay so we aren’t a long van but we are tall 11’6” and we had a hell of a time getting into here but the owner went above and beyond to help. Lovely place but it was just too hot and the nearby beach is pretty rough for swimming leisurely to cool off. Bucket shower and toilet was surprisingly lovely! Very clean and nicely decorated jungle chic! Very nice owner but very expensive camping for what you get.
