Here you can buy gas, tourist prices though ( 9BS). We were told this is the last gas station before the Ollague border into Chile. A few feet from the town mercado. The only gas station between Uyuni and Calama. So be sure to stop here or have some spare fuel.
At the border it is also possible to buy some gas from a private person. But wouldn’t count on this. The guy is very friendly. Toilets are a no-go.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
No problems here filling up with a foreign vehicle. If you have the energy there is room to negotiate the price. We didn’t have the energy to negotiate and still managed to only pay 5.7bol per liter. The foreign price is currently 8.68bol.
Report Check-InWe got here and paid local price (3.21bob), the only thing we've done was covering our number plates with dust so you couldn't read is foreign. No question asked whatsover
Report Check-InThey're serving gasoline to foreign people (european motorcycle). No problem or negotiation, just doubled price per liter.
Report Check-InFilled up for local price, not a word of discussion.
But no US Dollars or tarjeta, only Bolivianos.
filled up here for 5 per liter without discussion. even offered to fill up our Jerry cans even though there were several cars waiting. asked if we had a sticker for the window.
Report Check-InLast fill up before the Chile border. Two young ladies disscussed a bit between each other and without a word they filled up us 20 litres for Bolivian price. First time in Bolivia, unbelievable!
Report Check-InWe got the price of 5,50/liter after a friendly negotiation. We filled our tank + 3 jerry cans and bought 100L in total.
Report Check-InAfter a little bit of prompting (started at tourist price of 8.6/L), we were able to buy 75L here for 6 BOL per/L, as long as we didn’t want a receipt. Able to fill our tank directly plus a jerry can. Very nice guy.
Report Check-InIs the last gas station before the border ,if u don’t want receipt the price can be 6 BOB per Lt
Report Check-InThe price for foreigners is 8,9bol after a couple of minutes he asked me how much do I want to pay , I said 5 and finally I got a deal for 5,5 bol x lt
Report Check-InSommes arrivés à 16 h un samedi , le pompiste nous dit qu'il n'y a plus de diesel et qu'il faut attendre lundi . N'est pas capable de nous dire où on peut en trouver . Avons eu gros doute sur sa sincérité .
Report Check-InFriendly attendant and locals. Purchased about 60-70 litres of petrol no issues. 7BOL per litre into vehicles and cans.
Report Check-InStopped here because fellow drivers needed some gas.
The place only accepts Bolivian pesos and American dollars. Cash only. $1/1,10L cash return is pesos of course.
Toilet available, but I would only go if you really need to.
Report Check-InAsked 8 bol/per liter of diesel. We payed 5,5bol/liter after 10 seconds of negotiating
Report Check-InHad to wait one hour for fuel to arrive but bought petrol at 6 BS/litre, pleasant attendants.
Report Check-In10 liters for 5 bol after some negotiating. Guy tried to change the price on me after he filled the Jerry but eventually agreed to the original price.
Report Check-InPulled up to top off our tank heading south, asked if we could pay 'sin factura' which means 3.74 everywhere else. Put 10 L in and he wanted 88 Bol, told him he should have specified that before, as I thought I would be paying 3.74. Because it was such a small amount I gave him 60 Bol, but told him he should specify beforehand. Bolivians........
Report Check-Inwanted to charge us tourist price, was ok with it since we only were going to top up (approx 10 liters) when he gave me a fractura for the local price though I told him I wanted a fractura for the tourist price.. he ended up charging us the local price as his machine was not working properly.. or he was too lazy to make the effort.
Report Check-InHe looked around and decided to not sell to us anything. So we hired a taxi for 20bol at Uyuni to refill our jerrycans.
Report Check-In7B with zero negotiation, he was happy to hurry and top off our tanks as we wanted to head into the Laguna Route completely full.
Report Check-InThere was gas available when we drove through on the beginning of the lagunas route. Paid 7/bb sin factura. Definitely seemed like a well established station, but still safer to fill in Uyuni and top off here.
You can spot it from the main road as the orange colored station, in the last part of town if you're headed southbound.
