Diego and his colleages run this highly recommended mecanic. Mainly Land Rovers (new and old) but also other brands. They also sell new and 2nd hand parts
A local from the Land Rover Club recommended this place. There are a few more LaRo specialists in Pereira and Cali, but they are more expensive.
Locals from Bogota come all the way here because he is well known in the LaRo-world.
We had problems with our gearbox and they worked for 3,5 days on it. We payed 350.000 pesos on working hours.
We could "camp" in the workshop and use shower, electricity, water etc. Very safe and quiet place.
Very knowledgeable and friendly people. Highly recommended.

Here you will find a family garage specializing in Land Rover, particularly the 300 tdi. Diego (the father) and Juan (the son) are really very kind, competent, patient and helpful. We spent 8 days here with them to service our rear differential and to change the clutch of our Defender TD5. Diego found a lot of parts, especially bearings, in Pereira and otherwise he has very good contacts in Bogota to find the necessary parts. Transporting the parts from Bogota takes less than 24 hours, and is not very expensive (~32 000 COP for our clutch). There are surprisingly many parts in Colombia, even though they cost twice as much as in the UK. Diego charged us 1 400 000 COP for all of his work with his son Juan. We were able to sleep in the garage (open and sheltered space with toilets and a water tap), very quiet because on the outskirts of Pereira, the whole family took care of us during these 8 days!
Report Check-InI think this guy could fix anything. We turned up with some suspension problems, Diego fixed it straight away, it took a few hours, cost 70,000 inc materials, I think it would have cost 10 times more back home. A very genuine and nice guy, and we met his wife also who was very friendly.
