Description

No Overnight Parking at the boat launch itself, only along the road leading there. Dead end road to a boat launch, paved road and parking with flush toilet, trash cans, right by the water of Bay St Louis. Many nice pull outs with trees along this road. Very quiet.

I live a street over from N Beach Blvd
and while the very end has always been posted, a sizeable area just south of there, that was a great spot, as recently been posted. Still, there's an obvious spot for a couple vans, just south of there. Go to the end, head back and it's just before you start seeing houses. if I can edit, I'll add images.

Update Road People. No longer allowed. We stayed here last year in our small, 1500 pro master van but since then there are new signs posted all along the road in the pullouts saying NO overnight RV parking. We might have been able to stay since there were some car campers here but decided not to chance it since city trucks drive up and down this road.

Report Check-In

I am marking this as closed because now even the little dirt road has NO OVERNIGHT RV sadly. Your closest and safest best is Hollywood Casino. Several big rigs there right now from what I saw… going back there I guess. Bummer. RIP water views.

Report Check-In

There are a sign no overnight parking. But before parking lot, along the road, there are a lot of very nice places. There are fishermen late at night but it's very quiet at night.

Report Check-In

As the last commenter described, there are now many "No overnight rv parking" signs in the paved lot at the dead end, but there are several pull outs on the lightly-travelled road leading to it. Level, gravel spots with a beautiful view of the water. One to three bars Verizon. Places to walk your dog.

Report Check-In

The paved parking lot at the end of the road has posted signs against overnight parking; there are 5 or 6 spots on gravel parallel to the road before you reach the lot. Separated by trees, you can pull away from the road and still be on flat packed gravel. Beautiful sunset over the water, very little traffic, very quiet. I felt very safe. The paved lot has toilets that are relatively clean.

For some reason my GPS took me to the opposite side to South Beach Blvd. There is parallel parking all along the road with sidewalks, grass area and beach front. Perfect spot with no parking signs. Stayed one night and wasn’t bothered. People do tend to fly down this road so my van would shake occasionally when passing.

Report Check-In

No overnight parking at the boat ramp but there's a few turnouts on the road where you can spend the night. The police strove by a few times but never stopped. nice spot

Report Check-In

I am just updating existing posted information for current date purposes. Feb3,2022 and nothing seems to have changed. Plenty of pull-outs, no parking overnight at boat ramp, flushing toilets, and trash receptacles. We are in cold, torrential rain and thunderstorms but see the potential for beautiful sunsets at this spot. Keep it quiet and clean so others can stay. Big rigs will stand out and I was told they will be asked to leave by the city workers who drive up and down this road to use the restrooms. ‘It just looks bad. We will not tolerate large rvs,’ one resident told me.
People live here, ride bikes and walk dogs along the seawall. Please don’t spoil their joy of living here by overstaying your welcome.

Beautiful spot by the water. Nice place to fish. We will be back!

Report Check-In

Road is currently closed about a half mile from the gps coordinates. There are still a few good pullouts on the street.

Report Check-In

Nice spot on the bay. Like others have said... don't park in the boat ramp parking lot. park on the gravel areas before that lot. Only problem we had was there were these tiny bugs that bite that could fit through our window screens, so even though it was so hot + humid, we had to keep our windows closed. Good Verizon reception (with booster).

To add to this, as of 10th Feb 2021 the public toilets are still fully functional. Flushing with running water sink + mirror. Even loo roll and paper hand towels. Very clean, also.

Report Check-In

Cool spot for a night. As others have pointed out, you just can't park in the paved lot for the actual boat ramp. There are many sidings to park in before it with bins and trees between each. Some are bigger than others, and some have compacted gravel whereas others are more sand / mud so may be tricky after big rains. Good AT&T signal. Few slow moving cars on the road but generally peaceful.

stayed here before and found a giant spider in my car the next day. guess I'll try it again. lol. usually at Washington st. peir but seen alot of good comments about this spot.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot! Like mentioned, the boat ramp has “no RV parking”, however there are many roomy pull-offs before reaching the boat ramp.

Each pull off has trash cans and plenty of space between the next.

Sunset was brilliant. Cars came down the road during the day but wasn’t too many. It isn’t a main, busy road.

Thanks for the spot!

Update: The "No Overnight RV Camping" signs are only posted at the boat ramp parking lot. As stated, there are many pull-offs right before the ramp. Nice views. Trash cans available all over. Light traffic but died down in the evening. Tried my hand at fishing here but only caught a buzz. Stayed one night.

large new signs everywhere in the parking lot saying No RV overnight parking.

Nice place along sea wall. Only issue was all the folks horodding and doing burnouts. See picture. They did mostly stop by 10.

Report Check-In

Awesome spot. The police came through at 10pm but didn’t bother us. We parked in the shorter lanes furthest from the washrooms to leave spots for boat trailers in the morning. It is worth getting there for the sunset!

reeeeaaally nice :) beautiful sunset. except some drinking youngsters at night quite. first boaters at 6.

I’m a big fan of this place. Great stop off outside of New Orleans. Fantastic sunset!

A few minutes ago, I had a police officer drive up to shine his bright light on me. He checked identification, asked a few questions, and asked about fire arms. He shook my hand and said, “Have a good night!” before driving off.

At first he said there’s no overnight parking here, but I said, “Really? It’s on the app.” He was blindsided and said, “there’s an app.” I showed him. Apparently he’s cool with me staying here. He said, “Now the whole squad knows you’re here, so you’re good to go.”

I have a big smile on my face right now!!
I love genuine encounters with police officers. So happy to share this story.

Beautiful chill spot quiet away from everything . No road noise no other ppl around can just sit and look out on the bay n watch the fish jump.

Report Check-In

beautiful spot right on the water. no wind when we were here. a bit of traffic from quite early (approx 530am) with families and people launching their boats but managed to sleep through it ok. try to get here in time for sunset, it's stunning.

Report Check-In

We tucked ourselves behind an oak tree a bit before the boat launch. Very quiet, slept great. No visitors.

Report Check-In

Great Place. Clean and good tasting water. Local police made rounds but gave me no trouble. Was cold with the north wind as there is no protection from the wind as it comes in over the water.

Report Check-In

At the end of North beach road.
Windy when we where here. Very Quiet in the Night. Good Cell Phone.

Report Check-In

Very nice spot along the water. Clean bathrooms at boat ramp. Lots of local fishing traffic. Police car came by at 10pm and stopped to check out the van then continued on. Wouldn't recommend staying more than a night here
