Camino hacia Las coloradas. | Warning

We asked Mr Chan from Chan's cafe (half way between Tizimin and Rio Logartos) about this road after riding the wild ride between Celestún and Sisal days before... because you know, we love riding them trails. Mr Chan said ask "José" who runs a kite school in El Cuyo, who apparently knows the route well and takes people out there... Couldn't find the man. Asked a different campsite/Kite school person (thanks Anji from Camping del Ritmo & Kite Club).

Here's the deal:
- Don't ride on the beach, if you get caught "straight to jail"
- it's difficult after heavy rain (it had just rained heavily for 3 days).
- lots of mud.

Our experience: great fun.
However we have dual-sport bikes and love riding through big muddy puddles.

ps. there's lots of big muddy puddles after heavy rain.
pps. we're on IG as "MunduroDeTontos" ... we might get around to processing our GoPro footage so you can have a look at the trail... maybe not.

Regardless... I wouldn't personally drive a car/van down there, especially not 4x4 with big thread.

Also, we went East to West because of a "warning" placed on the other side... apparently not an issue... Will comment there

Not recommended for cars or big rigs. Maybe a 4x4 Sprinter can make it. As of today, there is a 250m length of road that is under water. See pics. Ok with adventure bike. Not much ressources out there. No drive by either.

Road is ok but very narrow! We are 2m wide and it is the max, lot of scratches on the van! Careful with the potholes hidden in the puddles! But the road is very cool. Took it from el Cuyo to Las coloradas

We made it no problem with our promaster road is narrow lots of micro scratches, also be aware of the potholes about 30cm deep. Took us 1:30 mim from las coloradas to el cuyo.

Barely made it through with my Promaster van, had heck of a time with the puddles! It rained a week before. Some beautiful private spots if you can make it.

we did drive the road from Las Coloradas to El Cuyo today with our Sprinter. Quite narrow, some scratches at the sides, but absolutely doable.

No recomendamos este camino, está muy roto, es angosto, creemos que solo pueden pasar motocicletas. No lo tomen así no se llevan el mismo disgusto que nosotros, hicimos 10 km en más de una hora y nos regresamos
