Mexico
This is an amazing place! It's run by a retired couple, Rene and his wife (she was not here when we stayed) who decided to do something with their retirement rather than just watch tv!
They've been here for 3 years and have created a very clean, quiet, relaxing place with thoughts of eco friendly-ness (solar power, tree planting) as well as supporting local causes such as selling hammocks handmade by a prisoner whose wife lives locally and keeps the profits to provide for her family. It is wheelchair accessible, there is wifi and an open kitchen to use with basics like salt and oil. Cold showers and flush toilets. Lovely common area with hammocks.
We parked our truck with camper for 100 pesos per person (and our 2 little dogs) no electric, although I think you could certainly hook up if you needed. Could probably park a bigger rig on the road outside but not in the yard as it was a tight squeeze for our F250 and camper.
300m walk to the beach. Not too many bugs.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Nice campground and hostel.
Good kitchen and fridge. Very nice owners!! Clean toilets and showers. Pool is fantastic.
Lovely nice place w/ everything in it>> the pool is a big help on hot days
Changing community all the time- we looked for peace and got party & serious 420 vibes- sometimes are the odds not in (y)our favor :D
Still very happy for the awesome 7 days res(e)t while we are waited for the DHL packages (yes you can use this address for delivery)
This place was the perfect spot to get some shade and cool off in a pool while catching up on work. Interesting group of travelers from all over, cool people to chat with and share stories. Renee is a really nice host. Laundry is available for a small fee.
Spent about a week here in total. Price was $150 (just me and my dog in a van) per night, which I thought was super fair. There’s a comunal kitchen and other friendly dogs.
The beach is nice as well. The locals are super friendly and really receptive of foreigners and curious to chat. Special place.
Report Check-InAwesome spot, really great vibe and well set up. No electricity for your rig, we asked but it's all solar. We just worked in the camp itself at the many available powerpoints. Beach is not super safe for swimming but is gorgeous and there is a pool. Wifi was the best we've had in ages. Had to drive carefully through a few palm leaves to get our 22ft motorhome in but the owner said they'd had much bigger rigs in before. You can also rent tents here.
Report Check-InLOVED this place! Would be super fun if you have a social group of people, great set up! Ping pong, fooseball, pool, few different hangout areas, great wifi, super quiet around, amazing kitchen with everything you need (A blender! A orange juicer squeezer thing! Free drinking water! What luxury!). No good shops around, so bring what you’ll need. The owner Rene lives next door, so it doesn’t feel like you’re awkwardly invading his space like some other places. 150ppn. I think I heard him tell someone it was extra for dogs, but not totally sure.

Wonderful clean, tidy place with pool. Kitchen fridge available. Ideal for dogs.
Internet is not reliable. Few meters to the beautiful beach with many restarants and few shopping facilities.
We were here for six nights.
The other comments are right, really nice place! Just the price increased to 150 ppn. We didn’t asked for discount, because other guests also pay 150.
Report Check-InFantastic super clean wonderful camp spot. A little paradise! Must see! René, the owner is so lovely.
Pool is super, Wifi very fast. We loved it to stay there!
Rene is amazing. His place is a paradise. We have a large extended high top van and we had no issue getting comfortable at Casa colibri. Best toilets in Mexico haha super relaxing place. The pool is cleaned daily. There is laundry available for about 35 pesos a kilo it’s 100 pesos per person. It’s really a sanctuary. We were coming from chacauhua and wow we were grateful to not stay in puerto on the way south towards San cristobal de las casas
Report Check-InAmaizing place, Rene is a great person, the place has a big New pool with pozo water, is safe and quiet, we spend 3 days and is very confortable
Report Check-InNice place as described. 100 pesos per person with nice bathrooms, shower, kitchen, pool, and WiFi. Short walk to the beach
Report Check-InNice campsite, super friendly, clean and comfortable showers and bathrooms. And: a well equipped shared outdoor kitchen.
Report Check-InWe spent 80 days there, during the coronavirus outbreak in Mexico. We felt safe and protected there, accepted by the local community and free to walk around. We arrived there before the official lockdown, then the town access was denied. Rene is a great host, he helped us a lot, he is very cultivated and interesting, love to talk about Mexican society and contemporary history. We were very lucky to spend two months and a half here and we absolutely recommend the place.
Report Check-InBeautiful little campground with Nice showers, clean toilets with seats and toilet paper. Outdoor kitchen, sink, freezer for common use, tables to set, hammocks to enjoy. 5 minutes walk from the beach. Owner is very nice and helpful
Report Check-InBeautiful, little campground close to the beach. Clean toilets and shower, outdoor kitchen and fridge. There are also cabañas and one of them is adjusted for people in a wheelchair, we checked it and it possible to get to the toilet and in the shower. Owner is very nice and helpful.
Report Check-Ingreat spot super friendly and safe. listen to the waves roar short walk to beach bunch of little cabana restaurants. choose the one with table cloths and clean raked sand good stuff Great spot for overlanders enjoyed the owner Rene class act in Mexico!!
Report Check-InThis is a great place to spend a few days relaxing and enjoying Agua Blanca beach. The surf can be a bit rough for swimming but there are rock pools for children or those who don’t want to brave the surf. Our host, Rene, provided hospitality, information, conversation and anything else you could need. The grounds are kept immaculate and facilities fully functional, keep in mind it’s off the grid. Room inside for parking regular size rigs with space outside for big rigs. Super safe and isolated area. Que lo disfrutes!
Report Check-InReally nice place. Cool atmosphere to relax. Nice open kitchen well equipped. Rene (the host) is a really nice person to chat with. The beach is 5min walking but you can ear the waves from your tent. Nice beach with a lot of restaurants (a bit pricy) who close at 7pm. If you want to prepare your own food, better to buy some stuff in the village 2,5km before, cause there is only a small shop here.
Report Check-InThe best campground what we saw in Mexico. What definiately worth to stay. Very calm, clean, ecologic with many options where you can relax. There is fire pit, grill, kitchen, nice toilets and bathrooms. It is ideal for small or medium size rigs. Rene, the owner, is very nice guy, who treat you like part of family and help you with anything you ask for. Price is 100 pp for tent or stay in van, or you can rent room with your own bathroom for 500 MXN.
