Something not right?

Description

One of many spots to wild camp on the BLM land between Hwy 60 and I-10. Very quiet, didn't see anyone all evening or morning. Nice to get away from the crowds near I-10. Some fire rings scattered around: try to use an existing one and not create a new one. Road is decent, 2wd with some clearance is good. Verizon coverage is present but in and out.

quiet, remote, place to ourselves, no bars. There are two roads very close together. one is not for Vans

nice, level spot with wide circular turnaround. however that was not needed for my Prius. I slept well as it's very quiet here. however, as everyone's mentioned, there is lots of trash that I picked up feeling a garbage bag that I'm hauling out this morning. too many gnats. going to find another spot!

Report Check-In

Tried to go down the road, blocked by mattress and other garbage.
didn't feel like moving it, so moving further down the road.
what the heck is wrong with some of you people, why is it so difficult to leave it clean.

We didn't stay in this spot but one further up the road, at 33.8796648, -113.1853329. The spot we chose is the local dumping ground, there is SO MUCH trash, appliances, diapers, etc dumped here. But we chose to stay the night anyway because we needed a place to stop and it was fine, totally quiet (this was a Fri night). Our 26 ft class C made it in to this spot fine, and we saw some other bigger rigs tucked away in spots we could see as we were driving on Eagle Eye Rd. Very weak and hardly usable ATT, weak but usable Verizon.

some sites do have trash. many do not. poor signal for cell but it does come and go. feel like I had the whole desert to myself. woke up to cattle this morning.

Report Check-In

Unfortunately there is LOTS of garbage. and broken glass. Had to drive around until we found a clean spot. A lot of flies too. Otherwise we had a quiet night.

Report Check-In

Camping on BLM Land near Eagle Eye Arch. Along Eagle Eye Road you find many camping options on several short dirt roads. Nice Saguaros around and a nice view to Eagle Eye Arch. Quiet.

Report Check-In

Nice place. The road is a bit narrow with overgrowth so I would not recommend anything wider then a standard van. We made it in with a Sprinter, but was pretty tight at times. AT&T came and went.
