Latest Check-Ins

Went past today to ask about camping in our tent, the owner was very nice (he was playing chess as I spoke to him) but the place felt a bit dirty. I could see the bin in the ladies toilet was overflowing and it put me off staying there, and that it's a Friday evening and the bar was going to open soon, which I presume meant more people using the bathroom. Lots of friendly and well looked after doggies.

this place is open for camping and rv's! we travel in our vw camper. we found it in January 2022 and enjoyed it very much. it is now run by a couple of Mexican surfer chess players. since our first visit they have made imrpovements and now have very good wifi. it looks like more imrpvements are underway. the place is pet friendly, and two dogs live here. there is access to electricity, bathrooms, cold shower, electric plates for cooking, campfire, and the beach. very little sound or light pollution ensure breathtaking starry skies and and undisturbed nature sounds.

nice little campsite. toilets are good but the shower is just a garden hose with low pressure. the sea view is beautiful. I paid 180 pesos for one person in a tent.

Report Check-In

the place is open under different management. things are likely more rudimentary but still workable. no wifi. $100 per person per night. we have alternated places to stay in our vw camper, between beach access roads and Nomads for showers and working toilets. we got to see whales from here!

Report Check-In

We did not stay but talked to the owner and they are open.

Looked like once a nice place. Now the gate was closed and nobody around to to check in with so we left. I would say it looks closed but not verified

We stayed here for New Year with Matt. He’s a super friendly guy with great knowledge of the local area. Highly recommend this campground. Can fit a few smaller rigs/vans in here!

Report Check-In

Mateo’s spot is right on the beach. He is very accommodating and has four beautiful dogs. It is a bucket toilet and shower set up. Surf right out front and chill vibe. He was still setting up his space so a bit of construction around but therefore he let us camp 50p/pp. Super knowledgeable about the area and places going further south.

Matt is the french owner of this very nice and simple campground. He will charge you 50 pesos per person per night. He speaks english and spanish and knows his way around very well. The showers area is still in progress but the kitchen is fully functional. There are hammocks, chairs, tables and even a swing to relax while watching the magical sunset. Pets are welcome if they get along with Matt's two dogs. Jango and El Dogtor. The boca is right on the corner for surf. A little bike ride will take you to manzanilla beach which is a very consistent swell all year long. ENJOY !!
