Tanzania
The western gate to Serengeti. We left the park here but you can of course enter as well.
From what it looked like they have a campsite just outside the gate that’s managed by the park.
Closest public campsite inside park is in Seronera and that’s about a 3-4h ride. Therefor you’re not allowed to enter the park later than 16:00.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.

Clean gate area. Toilets, coffee shop and gift shop available. Plenty of parking.
They will need your vehicle registration document on arrival to process your entry.
General inefficiency to actually get through the gate. Friendly staff.
$450 for two people and a foreign car for 24hrs including public camping! The permit lasts 24hrs.
Roads ok despite recent heavy rains. Elephant and game almost immediately after the gate.
Report Check-In177 USD for foreign car. No joke!
83 USD per person
An organised game drive will probably be cheaper.
End of June the migration was 40 km in from this gate.
Report Check-InWe entered the park at this gate... It is quite expensive to enter the park and in my opinion would be better to stay outside the park should you want to camp. Our recommended camp would definitely be Fuku Fuku camp 2km outside.. Cost to enter the park is as follows:
USD83 per person per day(24 hour cycle)
USD 177 for vehicle per day (between 2001 and 3000 ton)
USD30 per person per night foe camping
Roads ate in terrible condition so brace yourself should you want to self drive as it will take time and prepare for possible breakdowns
