Argentina
They stop a lot of cars here and check all the paperwork. Make sure you have insurance. This was the first time I was actually stopped at a police checkpoint after 7000km in Chile and Argentina.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Asked for our TIP and driving licence. Looked in the back and told us not to smoke marijuana. All OK.
Report Check-InAsked where we were from, where we are going and how many. Let’s us pass. Taped up our lisence otherwise I think they’d have let us drive through with a foreign plate
Report Check-Inthey didn't stop us, we just said hi and that's it. maybe it's because of covid but they didn't even ask for our papers
Report Check-InNo checking, all cars and trucks were sent trough. We expected more checking because of coronavirus but luckily we were wrong. Maybe its because we were driving towards Chile with a chilean car.
Hopefully all your travels are still possible in the upcoming weeks - wishing all iOverlanders the best🍀😊keep calm and travel on☀️🤘
Asked us to stop and made small talk about being from Texas. We were going in the direction of Chile. They let us pass without checking any documents. Very easy.
Report Check-InSaw our US plates, asked our nationality (Belgian) and waved us through with a smile. Like all other police checks in Argentina (for us).
Report Check-InThe third time we were stopped since the aduana at paso de los libertadores. A cute dog jumped into our bed.
