Spacious and clean sites. Looks like some recent down trees on south side of campground, but debris has been cleared. Older pit toilet, but clean. Would stay again.

Awesome free NFS CG. Lots of space between sites. Most have picnic tables, fire rings and BBQ grills. Sites aren't well defined and can be a little challenging figuring it out. Plenty of space, though, if you don't care about tables or a fire, even if all the "sites" are taken. One other camper there when we were. Several sites had quite a bit of trash laying around. I filled up a grocery bag full of stuff just around our site. I wasn't about to clean up others. C'mon people! You managed to bring this crap in, you can figure out a way to take it back out with you! Let's all work together to keep nature beautiful for the next camper. No cell coverage except for the very end past the concrete pad. You can get a bar there. Keep going down the path, there, and check out the cliffs on the other side of the valley. Stunning drive, when you leave, if you're heading southwest on Hwy 78. Info board says this is bear country so act accordingly.

Great free spot right off hwy 78 (not too busy of a road especially at night). Lots of trees for shade (if you want sun for solar, the best site is all the way back right corner just past the cement slab). We were here in mid February (20s at night, 40s during the day) and were one of three groups here so very easy to spread out and have privacy. Almost every site has a table and fire pit, some have grills as well. The main campground is to the right but if you turn left once entering the campground there's an ohv trail with plenty of room for dispersed camping (rvs could probably go about 1/4 mile in) some have fire rings.

Phenomenal spot among a pine forest. Large campground and able to find private sites. Vault bathrooms are very clean. Phenomenal view of the mountains from a cliff at the back end of the campground (only spot ive found Verizon signal). The drive up is well worth it.

Phenomenal spot! It’s close to the highway but the campground is so big you can find a spot without any noise. Unless it’s packed, you can find privacy. There’s a beautiful view of the mountains from a cliff at the back end of the campground. 2 vault bathrooms, pretty clean. We were going to stay only a night or two but staying longer since it’s so beautiful.

Beautiful campground. We were the only ones there. Made a nice fire in a large fire pit, was very quiet at night, since the road is not busy. Would recommend the drive up, just for a night here. Stunning views as you drive down again.

Nice campground in a tall pine forest. Not as quiet and secluded as dispersed camping but nice enough especially for the price: free. Most sites have tables and some have bbq but there is not much wood around. Very clean and quiet. We were the only campers there on November 5.
