5.000 colones per person. Excellent view

Report Check-In

Nice views right on the beach. Very basic toilet (no paper) and showers for 5000cpP. Would need some cleaning in the hole aera. Wi-Fi only for additional cost. Friendly owner.

Report Check-In

We tried to get in here yesterday but it was completely full. It seems like lots of locals are also travelling and camping at the moment.
The place looked nice though.
We ended up going to the other campground around the corner.

Report Check-In

it ist a nice spot but it definitivly needs some ceaning. and if you go there on weekends bei prepared for parties. we payed 10000 colones which ist pricy for the quality offered.

Report Check-In

Nice campground right at the beach with toilet, shower, water and good wifi for an additional 1000 c. we paid 10'000 the night for 2 pax. Amazing place, surfspot right in front... if there is swell

Playa avellanas is a beatiful beach. And this camping has an excelent spot.

Report Check-In

We stayed here with New Years Eve. Small campground on the beach, but VERY crowded with Tico families (although it was fun for 1 night). They were all celebrating NYE and staying for a week, so if you plan to visit this campsite between Christmas and the first week of January, be prepared. It felt safe though. Toilet and showers were not so clean. There is another campsite a block away from the beach, which was def more quiet. He charges us 20 dollars for 1 night, but again, it was NYE so he could make it.

We stayed at the parking lot that is located right next to this camping spot. Very relaxed and peaceful location right by the ocean. We did get one of our solar panels stolen though. We're not sure if it was at this spot or a couple of meters down where we stayed one afternoon.

Report Check-In

This place is right at the beach and has fantastic views! The owner is very kind and makes you feel welcomed. There is WiFi and very basic bathroom and shower. The vibe is indeed a super relaxed here, however if you ask me it’s a bit too relaxed. This shows by the overall cleanliness of the place. Toilet and shower are not clean and if you look closely you will find trash on the ground everywhere. Little things like bottle caps and stuff. It might not matter for everyone, but it did for us...

Report Check-In

Nice place in front of the beach. Very good for surf. It’s very simple, basics kitchen, toilets and bathroom. Nice owner and good vibes. We payed 8000 colones by night for 2 persons, a car and a tent.

Otto was really friendly, nice spot right on the beach. Shower and toiletts are ok, electricity was available. We decided not to use the outdoor kitchen, dont know if it would work. There was a fridge we could use, dirty but it worked. Stayed 2 nights and paid 15$ for 2 persons per night.

lugar tranquilo, frente a la playa... muy muy básico, para lo que ofrece el precio es muy elevado... 15 dólares por día por dos personas..
Quiet place, Froy beach, basic servis, it's overprace for me, 15 dolars per day two persons.

Report Check-In

Rustic camping, very friendly owner. Beach front, gated, electricity available, sink and some benches and tables. Shower and toilet dirty but when we chose this lifestyle we knew we wouldn’t have the best facilities all the time. Best place in the area for sure. No wifi yet

Report Check-In

Otto the owner was very friendly. It's beach camping... not the cleanest facilities. A few restaurants nearby. Very crowded (9 family groups) maybe for semana Santa but our van fit fine. Beautiful beach!

Report Check-In

wonderful place, camped directly on the beach. Not much in town but great place to go to disconnect for a while.

Report Check-In

Hands down one of the best spots so far... I usually travel alone so live finding safe places to camp by the beach. Was great to have coffee with the monkeys, Otto is really attentive. Place is kept clean, water was crisp & clear... was amazing waking up to a sunny day with a view of the reef! You can drink the water just FYI, decided to stay another night 😊

Report Check-In

LOVELY! Otto is a really nice host and the place is simple but beautiful. right on the beach. outside kitchen

Report Check-In

Beautiful camping site right in front of the beach. Otto, the owner, was very nice. We paid 7000C for two people in a camper (with electricity). Showers ok, bathroom a little bit dirty... Very calm area. We were coming from Santa Cruz and googlemaps took us trough a secondary road, with lots of mud and a couple of rivers. Follow the signs to Playa Avellana, the road is not in very good shape during the last kilometers.

Report Check-In

Nice camping on level sand with an ocean view. Toilets and shower were standard. Area to wash dishes. Owner can sell you fish. Our dog was welcome, but his dogs barked at our dog a lot. They never did anything, and they were quite at night. We plugged into electricity with an extension cord. I really liked this place and would have liked to stay longer.

Report Check-In

Very basic but the owner was working on a new palapa that he was planning to make another kitchen. Maneuvering into the lot was tight, we are 6M, but doable. Small beginners break, fun boogey boarding, was to the right and at low tide a huge swimming area is revealed just in front of the establishment. Owner is very friendly and helped us get a garafon of water. A large troop of Spider Monkeys came to eat the mangoes next to us one evening and ended up sleeping there overnight, really neat experience. We paid 7,000C per night.

Report Check-In

We paid 20,000 colones for two people for the first three nights, then 13, 000 for next two nights and then 12000 for two more with electricity. Great beach and no touristy spots nearby. Lola's is not far if you want a restaurant (closed on Mondays) and there is a bar called Gregorio in the other direction around the corner. Lola's closes at sunset. Otto is very friendly, brought us two gallons of potable water from Lola's one day. He does have a dog who is friendly. There are picnic tables and a sink as well as both indoor and outdoor showers. No cooking facilities (yet). Banos open all the time but one has no seat and neither have paper all the time. Movistar reception good but no Wi-Fi.

Report Check-In

Really pretty beach, but the place itself was not that nice. So, we didn't end up staying here. Nicer options to camp further south.

Report Check-In

6k colones for two people for one night. Nice rustic place with questionable bathroom, decent showers, right on the beach, friendly owner. Electricity and light provided at your spot. Whole place comes alive with hundreds of hermit crabs, really cool!

Report Check-In

We stayed 2 night charged us 7000 c we did not bother to try and barter god enough not what we expected from C R same as all the countries north pot hygiene no maintenance take or leave it attitude so good enough but other than lovely ovation and due to no competition we enjoyed what was on offer for 2 nights
