We drove all the way to the parking lot at the end, and chose this spot as it had the most wind protection (plenty of trees) and space for a decent sized vehicle (we have a pickup with camper on the back). There’s also a short path further down to a rocky point with awesome views. Great place to spend a night away from the crowds, decent 3G signal as well. Unfortunately there’s some trash around, so please leave no trace!
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
No good for motorcycles unless you're happy to leave it in the layby and stagger down the rocky path.
Locals camped out down in the woods so not quiet for that night.
OK for vans, hikers and cyclists.
This is the best Playa Larga spot and one of the quietest spot around Ushuaia, imo. Yeah, its right by the road, but all the others are as well. The fact that it's only big enough for one car saves you from having another car park next to you with loud music in the night (which happened to me at the other spots) and the trees on one side + the cliff on the other act as protection against the wind. Only issue is that it's hard to be level, but since my engine is so heavy, the default state of my bed is not leveled, so it didn't really change much things for me.
Report Check-InOn this road it has a few spots you can stay for overnight. Because it was windy we stayed on one place with threes to protect us from the Wind. Beautiful spot near to ushuaia. And yes its has some trash here. Very sad!
3g - 4g - no signal, it changed all few minute 😅
Ok spot, not very level. Close to road but not too busy at night. Would work better as a camp for cyclists.
The views are outstanding though.
