There's a scenic overlook near Nevada City. It's a USFS area with some picnic tables. No reception for T-mobile.

looks like a good spot.. doubt anyone checks on this spot so should work for the night. Verizon has intermittent service here
Report Check-InGreat spot for an over night stay quiet and safe. No restrooms so people poop and pee everywhere so watch where you step if you walk on any of the trails. Great views though!
Report Check-InDecent spot for 1 night. Pit toilet smells are reason enough to hold it or go anywhere else. Stayed on my nose for 15 minutes!
Street noise throughout the night but not terrible.
Still available, still great.
There are many dispersed camping options in the area as well, but this is easy, beautiful, and close to the road.
Report Check-InThis is the Omega scenic viewpoint. It was quiet on a Sunday night. Monday was busier. We stayed long enough to ride the Upper Pioneer MTB trail across the road. Great ride and spot for a rest! Bathrooms are messy, but stocked. View of the ‘18 California ‘Camp Fire’ was incredible.
2 bars of LTE signal
Great spot. Picnic tables and restrooms available (pit toilets). Quite. Stayed one night.
Report Check-InBeautiful views and lovely place to stay. Very quiet & peaceful. Great little waking path out to a viewpoint. Bathrooms were a bit messy, but hey, it's free. Little to no service with Verizon.
