it's off season and the whole area is pretty much a ghost town. stopped in here to see what it would cost for the night and the lady at the office said it's 375 pesos PER PERSON.

by far the most expensive, wildly overpriced, place we have seen anywhere during our 6 months in mexico! it does look like a nice spot but wow..

we paid 500 per night to camp in our van. Great place to stop after the border. Amazing pool with hammocks. Clean bathrooms. Beautiful scenery. They allowed our dog for free. Only criticism is that we needed an early night after crossing the border that day, but there was very loud music playing nearby on the Sunday night (apparently it's like that every weekend), which went on until the hours. Earplugs didn't help much! We were the only non climbers there- looks like an amazing place for climbing and nice hikes around too. Go to the Glitter Mine!!

Awesome campground with world class rock climbing and a lively community

Report Check-In

Spent Saturday night here. They are currently at 70% capacity with COVID, so we were narrowly able to snag a camping spot (arriving around 4 pm). They allowed us to drive into the tent area, which is at the back of the property. Our neighbors had ground tents and brought their things in on foot. This was a pricy stay for us at 700 pesos. If we were able to take advantage of the clean pool with hammocks, or the on-site restaurant, I would’ve felt better about it. The bathrooms and showers were clean. No hot water. Overall, the nicest campground we’ve stayed at in Mexico. Lots of families with kids and it felt secure and comfortable.

The scenery and the campground is amazing! No hookups, not big rig friendly. Small parking lot, basic bathrooms and showers (they were clean), and the food was great too. Friendly staff. Their pool is incredible and had relaxing hammocks to chill in over the water. Paid $250 for a camper van for 2 people. This is our new favorite overnight stop when coming from San Antonio. There was about 20 American rock climbers all there.

Price is still 150pp/night. Really great place to stay and very relaxing. It will get very busy starting in October for the climbing season. Even if you don't climb it is worth it to see El Potrero Chico!

Now charge 150/pp to camp, car or tent. We ended up here after Homeros looked like a ghost town :(. It is pricey, but the property is really nice - beautiful pool, clean bathrooms, hot showers, restaurant on site and a huge communal kitchen. Great stop before or after crossing the border!

Still a great place, and some new improvements. A new wall went up to replace the fence that protected campers from the Neighbour's dogs. They no longer bark at our dog as the cement wall is 7-8 feet high,...really good improvement. The pool has been retiled...very nice. Wifi service is improved with user names and passwords with a max of two devices per password and is quite fast. The down side is that the price to stay is now up to 150 pesos per person. The ac outlets near the pool have been covered up....bad. Its nice to finally see some improvements, yet the communal bathrooms remain prison like.

Good wifi, very clean and pretty quiet. Fun group of people (climbers) seem to camp here in the winter. Paid I think 240 or 260 pesos for 2 people in a truck.

We stayed one night but wish we had more time. We were allowed to park our truck with the truck camper in the parking lot overnight and paid about $19 US. The pool is gorgeous. The views are amazing. There is a common kitchen area. The bathhouses are large. Wifi works great. Large area for tent camping as well and walking distance to the rock climbing.

Excellent campground with all the amenities. Easy to find and friendly staff. Plenty of room for a truck and slide in camper. They have a kitchen you can use or a restaurant to eat from. Beautiful setting.

130 pesos for adult and 100 pesos for kids under 6.
Nice views, paradis for climbers.

Excellent stop if your traveling south through northern Mexico. $130pp and enough space to park our short school bus. Right at the foot of an insane mountain with showers, bathrooms, wifi, etc. 99% of the people here are rock climbers but I found plenty to do on the mountain without climbing it.

paid $130pp, place is clean, friendly staff.

Very nice place with friendly and very helpful staff. Clean bathrooms but you have to bring your own toilet paper. The pool is open again and nice. There are good facilities, even a kitchen with stoves, fridge and barbecues. Must have been high season as the place was quite crowded when we were there. There was still space for tents (nice meadow) but the (official) parking lot was full. It was no problem though, as the staff organized some more space so more people could fit and we could stay. The view of the mountains is beautiful. In the night it was quite loud as one group had a small BBQ party. But it was still tolerable. All in all a great place to stay. We paid 100 pesos per person.

200mxn/night for camping for two pax. Pool is empty right now (mar3-2016) for some tile work. :/ Nice people and plenty of space.

Great place- beautiful location. Lots of climbers. Had no problems parking our bus. Paid $100 peso per person for camping.

Neat campground almost at the base of the cliffs. Looks like a popular place for climbers. Paid 100 pesos for a person. No electrical hookup here. Wifi at the reception area, not extending to all sites.

Great facility. Beautiful well maintained grounds and swimming pool. Very family friendly mid-week in summer. We've had the place to ourselves. Apparently gets crowded on the weekend. Lots of places to pitch tents among the trees. Huge communal kitchen and clean bathrooms. David the manager is very friendly and helpful. He took us into Monterrey and played tour guide on his day off. He also arranged a guide for climbing, which is apparently the reason to come here. Highly recommended.

This place is great. Completely empty during the week in summer. Meticulously maintained grounds and beautiful pool. Lots of places to pitch a tent. David, the manager, is very friendly. He even took us into Monterrey and played tour guide on his day off. Also arranged for us to climb the rocks with their guides. Highly recommended.

Great location!! Highly recommend! Nice staff, great view. We slept in car next to the restaurant which is closed on the off period. So nice and quiet. Felt safe as Juan patrolled the sites all night. We considered asking to run a cord to the (unused) restaurant but we were fine on batteries. Can buy basic climbing gear at reception. More for tents, still amazing. Only cost 100 p/pp for camping and use of the amazing pool. Really lovely.

Lovely chilled out location. Great spot as launching pad to start trip through Mexico. Parked and slept in car next to restaurant which was closed. It's only open in busy times. Staff very friendly. They helped us organise our onward journey. More set up for tents, no power at sites. Pool and mountain setting just amazing. Kitchen set up with gas burners. Felt safe and secure with 24 hour staff at site. Paid 200 pesos for the night. Well worth it.
