Description

Rabbit Ranch a dry lake bed surrounded by rock. Nice quiet place to park for a few days. BLM land brings a lot of gun and 4x4 enthusiasts, but during the week you’ll have this place to yourself.

The coordinates take you to private property but you can drive around and find a spot. It took me a long time to find somewhere to park that I felt it was safe for me and my dog to walk around. There is SO MUCH TRASH here. Everywhere. At sites, in the bushes, around the rocks. I have a feeling it was mostly locals but damn. Pick up after yourselves, people :(

Great spot, I spent 5 days here during the week and it was very quiet. I stayed on the lake bed.

Leave no trace!

I stayed one night just south of the pin on the dry lake bed. Nice spot. Can see the town lights in the distance at nice. Lots of space very private. November 14 so a little cold but not as cold as up in the mountains.

Report Check-In

Good spot! Go past the coords to get away from the glass & shells. Note: Be careful crossing the lake bed if there's been recent rain or rain in the forecast.

Good spot! Go a bit past the coords to get away from the broken glass and shells.

We didn’t actually drive quite as far along this road as there’s lots of level and open spaces to pull off of High Rd to rest for the night. The sunset and sunrise were beautiful and it was very quiet. Be sure to park on the west side of the road as the east side seems to be private property.

Report Check-In

there is a private property sign after you pass the dry lake bed, it looks new. if you drive in off high road the east side of the lake bed is BLM land. we saw a few cars drive by. there was a good view of the city. if there is any rain i would not drive out here with anything.

Report Check-In

Dry lake bed with foothills just beyond the lake. Rocks, empty shell casings and camp fire rings shows signs of campers that like to practice shooting. Most times are quite with good distance from highway 18 and infrequent visitors.
