Parking is allowed up to 72 hours. This place has sigh “No camping”, but anyway I slept in the car one night. A bit noisy, because of trains.
Report Check-InFound the last spot in the RV area. Lots of “long term” people here. Easy walk to the harbor, quiet and clean. It is very bright though with the parking lot lights.
Report Check-InTried sleeping here last night in my e150 standard now extended roof or anything, was waken up with a knock on my window which ended being a Oceanside parking enforcement, gave me a ticket for “oversized” vehicle parking and car camping. I guess you can’t be taller than 7 ft according to the city’s rules. Ended up getting a ticket for 58$
Report Check-Infree parking during the day to explore and enjoy the beach. all oversized vehicle prohibited between 2 am and 6 am on every street.
Report Check-InPosted no camping signs, plenty of other cars trucks & 2 motorhomes. 1 night without knock or ticket, quiet. If you can stealth probably best, didn't feel real safe. Close to highway so steady traffic noise but distance makes it not sleep disturbing. No bathrooms, close enough to beach with bathrooms & cold outdoor shower (no nudity)! Close to plenty of shops for food, grocery, harbor with coffee & eatery. Easy I-5 entry & exit. 1990 24’ Rexhall with secondary Jeep not being towed & no hassle. Better than highway rest stop.
Report Check-InNice spot. Easy to find and quite. the bathrooms were closed from 9pm-7am but other than that good spot
Report Check-InStayed the allowable 72 hour max. It is loud with the train and traffic but for free it was worth it. I would go to Buccaneer park during the day to chill!
Report Check-InStill good place for overnight. Max 25 feet long and 7 high. Several campers also few homeless stayed longer then the 3 days max. Police drove by and no problem at all to overnight
Report Check-InSafe. Flat 72 hour lot for vans up to 25ft. Perfect for overnight. Lot has portable water station. Relatively quiet, some train activity. End of lot walk-through tunnel to harbor: restaurants and public restrooms. Great coffee spot as well!
Report Check-InBig open parking lot I’ve camped here for years, but just recently the city has now banned overnight parking and is now ticketing other rvs vans etc. I stayed here last night and was woken up with a knock and a ticket. I would find a better more industrial spot if your looking to sleep not worth it anymore here.
Report Check-InThis location is no longer good to sleep here, I stayed here last night and got a ticket. The city is cracking down on vehicles w vans rvs etc. you can no longer park here over night
Report Check-InHi so I’m new at this so this is true as all comments suggested no one bother you great stay 👍🏾
Report Check-InStayed here for three nights, parking was pretty empty really quiet place, even if it's written 84-inch, they don't care about it as long as you take only one parking spot, my van is 114 inches high, saw the police often in the parking, not been bothered.
I was here last year and I saw the police knocking on RV trailers doors to get them out.
Good place to stay overnight and be near restaurants and the beach
Report Check-InEasy to find, plenty of parking. Quiet. Spent the night with no issues.
Report Check-InGreat spot. Just a parking lot but close to the beach. Decent washrooms trough the tunnel left. Stayed here for 2 nights. Saw the police a couple times but no one bothered us, below 7 feet it’s free. But even over, nobody is asking.
Report Check-Innice lot. technically not allowed for oversized which is defined as over 25ft long, 7h, 7w. doesn't seem to be strictly enforced. bathroom with flush toilets and running water just through the tunnel is open from 530am to 1130 pm. easy access to several restaurants and the beach. pic of regulatory sign attached
Report Check-InAs described! Felt safe and lots of other RVs and vans. Train passing from time to time but the noice is not too bad imo. Restroom on the right next to the Oceanside Sportfishing Trips is open from 5am to 11:30pm.
Report Check-InHighly recommended. Spacious parking, many RV tonight. Campaign except for the passage of the train, we stayed here one night way to San Diego
Muy recomendable amplio y tranquilo parqueo
Report Check-InNo camping police toc toc
Les panneaux indiquent 72h si véhicule moins de 25 pieds et plus loin d'autre indiquent "no camping" comme souvent aux US il y a tellement d'infos parfois contradictoires, bref je me suis fait délogé et envoyé sur le port au parking payant
Pulled right in - lot of spots open. Looks legit 👍🏼 good lighting and other cars around; safe feeling.
Report Check-InWe stopped to have lunch and check out the beach. We wanted to stay overnight based on the original post. We stopped a police car to ask if we were allowed. They said if we take up two parking spots and are over 7 ft tall then we can’t stay overnight and we would get ticketed.
Anyone with a camper van under 7 feet that only takes up one parking spot can stay up to 72 hours.
Don’t say you weren’t warned!! A nice scenic spot for lunch though.
Report Check-InQuiet parking lot, there are length, width & height limits in order to stay overnight, we stay with our Sprinter which is taller than the 84” height limit but no issues. Stayed 1 night, it was quiet and the restaurants are near by
Report Check-InFree ñarking lot, hundred meter from the beach. There is a signal saying is not legal parking 8pm-4am but there are no isues to overnight for a maximum 72 h. After that you are obligated to move one mile a way for 48h
Report Check-InBig parkinglot and free for 72 hours. Under tunnel end lot is the harbour with several restaurants and restrooms and drinkingwater. See on walking distance. Where here with several rv’s and vans. Quiet at night and safe. See also this spot on allstays-app
