Description

Once you get your entry stamp on your passport you need to come here and provide the aduanas agent (Antonio) with your vehicle’s title and passport. They will grant you a TIP for the same amount of days you were given on your passport. The process can be unnecessarily bureaucratic.

The Aduanas office works from Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM. Plan accordingly.

We jumped into Brasil for 1 day to renew our Visa and Tip. On our way back we needed more than 4.5 hours at the aduana (seniat) at venezuelan side. The vehicle insurance (valid 1 year) "La Seguridad" we bought in an office in San Antonio near Cucuta 2 months ago was not valid because the company of the insurance is not registered in the system of the aduana. The supervisor was very motivated to help us but in the end we had to buy a new insurance for 1 year for 46US$. Otherwise they would not let us in.

Insurance in the same house, yes, but the agent leaves by 13h30.
I had to wait in the parking lot for 15 hours.

They will need copies of your passport, vehicle papers, drivers license and vehicle insurance for Venezuela.
Siesta from 12 to 1:30pm.
We came at 12 so had to wait for the siesta to end. After siesta there was a power shortage so the systems did not work. All in all took us more than 4 hours. But the process is easy and if you don't arrive at noon, it will take around an hour I guess.

Harm yourself with patience, we got our passports stamped straight away but the customs took more than 4 hours to register our 3 motorbikes. It's better to get your insurance before hand (we contacted this number +58 424-7036212, they sent the documents via WhatsApp and you can pay with western union or PayPal which is great. 8$ for a motorcycle for one year)

Super friendly and easy. First stop immigration: 5 mins (can’t miss it, huge sign), then across the road aduana. They need: registration, passport of owner, drivers license and insurance. They need photocopies of those documents! I guess you can buy insurance onsite, but we bought beforehand (much cheaper). Took about 45 mins. Vehicle is stamped in passport and you also get an “autoricazion veicular” paper. That paper needs a final check from the army and you are good to go!

Aduana is currently open 9-5 Monday to Friday. They will first send you to another office within the same building to get your Vehicle insurance. With my motorbike the total process (immigration/soar/TIP) took about 2.5 hours.

Now they work till 4 pm. But they close from 12 to 1 pm for lunch. When we were there, it was no energy, so we had to wait 2 hours till the energy came back. They wanted copies from passport, entry stamp, car papers. You have to buy an insurance for 40 usd that last 1 year. We got 60 days TIP.
