pretty lever spots restrooms no shower electric only.

6 nites at B08 site. Across from washroom. Flush but no paper towels.
Electric hookup. Rob/Terry came and we visited and hiked Watchman w/ them. Got cold, thought water froze but we had a leak and it emptied.
Also van cab system may have been on and we drained battery. Our jump system lines were too short to reach ground peg, so Rob improvised and it turned over. Slow shower drain. 8 point buck off our slider night 2. Amazing views, Starlink obstructed here and was spotty every 10 min.

Beautiful campground, not too busy at all by the end of November. Small campervans can camp in the $20/night "tent loop" and larger rigs can book the RV sites. Totally worth it if you are visiting Zion. Lots of mule deer!

Located at the beginning of Springdale, a quaint and well shaded campground. Nice to also take a dip in the virgin river to cool off in the hot summer.

Inconvenient is if you have a lot quite far into the campground (e.g., area B) which might be a longer walk to get into Springdale.

Enjoy also the hawk nests above you!

$30. This campgrounds slightly nicer than the south zion one but more expensive. Booked the day before, so worth checking for last minute cancellations. Good t mobile service

Everything is already booked up by mid-March, so reserve early. I managed to get a site on the night of by checking in with the campsite host who was kind enough to give me the accessible site for a night ($30 though, because it had electricity).

This place is in wrong location - it is located at 37.19681, -112.98873

My wife and I love this place!!! Not too busy during the winter time

Report Check-In

Super clean, heated bathrooms with no trashcans. Electricity on sites in B loop.

Please note: this should be registered as the South Campground, not the Watchman Campground (you can look at the map to understand).

South Campground is the first come first serve campground / booking with 14 days in advance. The Watchman Campground accept all time reservations, both in Zion NP.

Very well located campground, marching distance from the shuttles, the visitor center and other services. Toilets would really need refurbishing: very smelly, dirty and old toilets.

Potable water, dump station, no showers, 20$.

We were lucky and reserved one of the only sights left on the weekend for a night and we’re glad we did!

Zion is incredibly busy so you want to get out hiking early in the morning or later in the evening. However, to get to the hikes you need to take a shuttle (no driving up the valley) being at this campsite was perfect! It was a short walk to the shuttle and everything (pub, restaurant, coffee) bathrooms are big, clean, and nice.

There is electricity at the sites but no water. There is a water fill with potable water at the dump station when you first enter the park so fill up there if needed before going to your site.

Wasn’t loud at night. Sites are nice and big with fire pits however there is a fire ban on now. Beautiful views of the mountains from the campground too.

Only downside here is there is a lot of sites without any trees or shade. We got the last site and we’re stuck with a sit with zero shade. It’s always extremely hot in Zion so hopefully
You have A/C. We didn’t and it was a hot day/night.

Decent spot to stay in this very crowded park. We were lucky to snag a reservation, it was an RV site with power which we didn't need but it was that or nothing. There is so much to do in Zion you need to have a place to stay at least one night.

Close to visitor center, shuttle stop, hiking trails, showers at the outfitter shop, also zion brewery and a coffee shop just across the river.

We didn't think it was too loud for our stay though we did have a grip of children staying across from us who were constantly running through our campsite so we had to keep the dogs in the van.

One bar and sketchy data on t-mobile, 4 bars LTE on Verizon with we boost.

What can you say - this place is busy. First night out there was a very loud party going on till pretty late. Rangers did nothing about it. But they did object to us walking out cat without a leash. Would not like to be here in summer when everything is open - way too many people. But in winter it was OK. Washrooms open (no showers) and 30 amp for $30 plus the park entrance fee. Great hikes and bike ride up the canyon but we've seen it and probably won't be back again.Think Brice is better. Our AT&T worked very well here.

Very scenic, free dump. Brewery/restaurant at crawling distance directly across the bridge.

We couldn’t reserve but managed to get a spot in one of the group sites that were not reserved.
It’s better to show up early in the morning for this option

Report Check-In

We paid 30$ for a night, but we had electricity at our site, which we don't need. We tried to book 3 days in advance and had a lot of luck. We got one night.
