Beautiful spot, can't believe there aren't NO signs. It is a parking lot with views of the ocean and a lot of benches with information signs of the surrounding area. There is also a short trail to the cliffs were you can watch seals sunbathing. And a spot were you can climb down to the beach.
No restrooms, and like all other spots here it is along the road but really quiet.
Keep the spot clean and don't poop in the bushes
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Amazing spot especially since any campgrounds nearby are $40 at the absolute minimum. As others have said, no "no" signs whereas there are some no signs further along towards Fort Bragg but people are staying there too - think the authorities around here aren't bothered by people staying which is a plus! Great views and there's a lovely short walk down to the ocean to view the sunset.
Pulled up at around 5pm and there were a couple vans already here plus a big RV with a dog outside that looks to be here semi-permanently. Spoke to a few of the others here and they were all super friendly, asked them about staying here and one of them said they come here all the time with no troubles at all. Clearly a popular spot and for good reason.
Set back from the road so not too loud - passing cars stop around 10pm anyways with the occasional vehicle going throughout the night but not enough to wake you up. Lots of foliage and green around for a nature wee although some filthy degenerates have been shitting up the place and leaving their shitty toilet paper all over the place in some places, so mind out for that. If everyone can be clean and respectful I hope this place can stay open for everyone to enjoy!
Report Check-Ingood spot to pull in for a night. 3 or 4 other vans there for the night. a bit of road noise but not bad.
Report Check-InGreat spot, two large marked bays, lovely walk to the cliff with a great bench to admire the view.
Report Check-InGreat Place. Good Views. Even the Sheriff pulled in and didn’t bother us. One rv along with our camper van spent the night.
Report Check-InStayed here one night with no issues. Quiet and lots of space. I had decent Verizon service and great starlink connection.
Report Check-Inwas going to go to the cove down the road but was locked with padlock so I came here.. as did many others who probably planned to stay there too.. beautiful by the way!
Report Check-InAmazing spot! Didn’t have much cell service but lovely trails down to the cliffs and water. Saw a group of seals sunbathing in the morning. There were several others here with plenty of space! Got to chat with local, Keith, who said he had seen some occasional whales from that overlook. We didn’t see them here but did catch some driving north from here! Pulled off and caught one breaching!
No bathrooms or water, please leave no trace and be respectful so this spot remains available.
Nice spot with a trail leading to the most beautiful sunset ocean view. I saw a deer as I was walking down.
Report Check-InParking lot that allows overnight parking. Nice view with a path that goes to the water. No bathrooms, requires dry camping. Several other vans/cars spent the night.
Report Check-InReally nice spot off hwy 1. Large enough for big rigs. Plenty of space
Report Check-InParking lot just off the 1 with no signs. Great trail down to the beach and beautiful spot for sunset. About 20mins from Fort Bragg and the town.
Report Check-InNice small parking lot to stay one night off the side of the road. Trails to go towards the ocean, can be muddy.
Report Check-InLovely spot with no "no parking" signs. Marked as a rest stop in Google Maps. Beautiful view and more protected from the wind.
Report Check-InNice quiet place to stop for the night. Very little traffic and a nice hum from the ocean waves. Nice trail down to the water with excellent view points!!
Report Check-InArrived after dark, around 7 or 8 others staying the night. Pretty quiet night, got a good rest.
Report Check-InQuiet lot. There were a number of people overnighting here. No bathrooms.
Report Check-InPlease stop sh*tting in the bushes! Everywhere toiletpaper and poop. It is disgusting and will sooner or later result in th closing of beatiful places like this for overnight parking. If you din't have a toilet in your camper search for another place or go to a campground!
Report Check-InGot here around 7:30pm. There are about 5 or 6 others staying here tonight. It is 11:30pm now. All is quite.
Report Check-InStill no sign you cannot overnight here. A good spot after all the previous spots have “no camping” signs. Verizon signal poor. AT&T signal good.
Report Check-InNice parking that doesn't get a lot of traffic. Had 3 other campers in the lot on a Monday night. Probably 15 marked car spaces and one larger vehicle parking spot. Beautiful views of the ocean and a trail down to it, watched an incredible sunset right on the water. Some road noise at night but slept in late with no issue. A bit of trash in the parking lot, keep this place clean!
Report Check-InLarge parking lot with plenty of space! Pretty quiet throughout the night and a small view of the ocean! 1-2 bars Verizon (not very reliable).
Report Check-Innice place with great view on the Ocean.
closer to westport and to the beach than Juan Creek
Pretty big paved lot off 101. might be some traffic noise on a normal night but we had 75 mph gusting winds and rain so you couldn't hear anything.
A couple of other cars were here on and off. No signs prohibiting overnights and no knocks.
Fantastic view if it wasn't for the storm.
Close to level. Benches and a path to the beach but no trash cans or bathrooms or anything else.
Would definitely stay there again but not when a Gale is blowing because it is too exposed.
Gorgeous spot!! Overnight parking, beautiful ocean view, and open trails. Not very noisy from the road. Dogs are welcome!
Report Check-InHad a great night together with some other cars and RV's. Seals, pelicans and other birds when you walk down to the sea (couple minutes walk from the parking spot).
Report Check-InKind of thought this spot would be cooler. Had I known it was this I’d have stopped at one of the few north of here that looked fantastic. Ended up going 5 mins south to the carpark spot instead and it’s much better.
Report Check-InPretty site! We stayed here one night. Definitely a busier place but tons of room, I’d still advise to get here earlier rather than later, especially if you have a bigger rig. We had our 27’ class C and just backed into a spot, there was another class A here, probably 35’-ish and several B’s. Stayed quiet and everyone was respectful. Highway noise died down around 7:30-8 and didn’t start again until late morning. Walked down to the bench on the bluffs to watch the seals this morning with the dogs. All-together, it was a great place to stay.
Report Check-InAwesome spot! Stayed one night. We had a few car campers and vans parked beside us. Walk down the path to see sea lions and tide pools. Keep it clean!
Report Check-InArrived late. There are several vans and other vehicles here. Quiet most of the night.
Report Check-Inpleasant as heck. 4 other vans and a couple RVs, no trouble or noise. a local hiking guide marks this as the Brunel Point trailhead. cool tide pools a short walk from the parking lot.
Report Check-Ingreat stop. we stayed her for 2 nights. no problem. t mobile and verizon service... fast enough from the road so you don't hear much noise.
Report Check-InStayed here for one night with no issues! The tide pools down below are really great!!
Report Check-InGreat parking lot next to the beach! We stopped here for a night and had a couple neighbors. There wasn’t to much road noise and we slept great!
Report Check-InLarge parking lot, couple other vans there. Good view, but other vans were parked sideways taking the good spots. Nice short trial to walk in the morning
Report Check-InBig spot as stated. There’s a dude living here but he doesn’t bother anyone. A good spot for a night or two. Great sunset spot.
Report Check-InAs described, nice spot for an overnight. It filled up on Labor Day weekend with small to mid sized rigs and a car or two. There are no trashcans or toilets here so pack out your trash and FFS bury your poop.
Report Check-InWe liked this place. Served us well. Good cell coverage for Verizon. Ocean sounds all night. We had one other van neighbor who was already there when we arrived at about 5:30. No one bothered us and it was a good night’s sleep.
* will say that the poop thing is true, so be a good steward and pack in and pack out. Let’s keep this gem alive!
Report Check-InGreat spot, flat & quiet. No issues at all. We had a good sleep
Report Check-InAwesome flat parking lot to stay at, when I arrived was only van, then a van arrived with several people playing music and setting up a kitchen outside which was disturbing, they quieted down as another rig showed up. Was a quiet night and no bother from anyone. Would recommend if in area.
Report Check-InStopped here last night. No problems at all.
Do wish people would bury there pooh though. It’s not difficult!!
Just a really awesome place! Unfortunately quite a lot of toilet paper in the bushes, please don’t leave anything!
Report Check-InCertainly a gem along this stretch of coast. Still no signs prohibiting overnight camping.
Report Check-InNice overnight spot not too loud, we slept we 2 other campers
Report Check-InGreat spot, with an amazing view.there are a few other campers with us in this location
Report Check-InBeautiful vista, with a short trail right down to the water. Just spent some time watching two harbor seals bob up and down in the water. No amenities, paved lot with marked parking spots. Pull offs directly south on Highway 1 had “no parking” signs, but this one is clear. We hope to spend the night without being bothered.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot. Close to the highway but the noise dies down at night. Stayed two nights, no problem. No garbage cans, water or toilets.
Report Check-InGood place for sunset ans sleeping.
Perfect place to sleep. No one bothered us for two whole days that we spent here.
Report Check-InThis place is awesome. It’s quiet; The beach is right here, there is a good little trail. It’s nice and clean. No signs about
Overnights, we haven’t been bothered one.
Open lot. No issues for the night or morning. Sounds of the ocean all night.
Report Check-InPerfect free camp! Still no prohibition posted and excellent. At a vista point with a fair size lot, a safe distance from Highway 1. Got really quiet after 10-11 PM so great night sleep. No facilities but that was not an issue for us. Good cell service.
Let’s keep this place available by respecting the area and leaving it cleaner than we found it please!
Report Check-InBeautiful spot, can't believe there aren't NO signs. It is a parking lot with view of the ocean and a lot of benches with information signs of the surrounding.
