Nice flat spot behind rock formation just a few hundred meters off main road. Easily accessible with most vehicles :-)

Whether leaving or staying the night before Death Valley - good spot! About 1 hour to Furnace Creek from here… if you are planning ahead Emigrant campground is closer to the NP and is Free but may fill up.
Con:
There was a tiny bit of glass, so if you do have a dog or kids be careful. Still.. would stay again.
Really nice spot far enough from the road. Its quite hard to hide from the road behind the rock but still good enough. Amazing stargazing during night. No cellphone signal. Cooler than Death Valley but still hot in summer.
Report Check-Inliked this spot! cruising down thru death valley good spot to chill and eat for a few hours. no reception at all here tho so didn't stay for the night. got here jn our 24ft rv no problem!
Report Check-InGreat spot right off the road literally behind a giant rock formation. Silence, gorgeous stars, and views of snow capped mountains in the distance. Flat with plenty of space for a large rig to pull through. Stayed one night and wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Report Check-InNice and quiet. One other camper van much farther/higher up the dirt road than us. We parked right in front of the big rock. Some fire pits others had created out of rocks.
Report Check-InStayed here one night. We went up the hill a bit to get further from the road. We could barely hear terrific.
If you want a true dessert camp spot in the middle of nowhere this is your spot!
No cell coverage.
I'd give it 5 stars but the app isn't letting me.
Report Check-InLocation is quiet during the night. Easy access with 2WD with many spots right next to the road. please: here and elsewhere, put your toilet paper in small plastic bag and take them with you ( and dispose in trash can). don't leave them under a rock.
The location was very cold in mid December . low teens.
Report Check-InBest place to stay in beautiful nature!
Silent, only a few cars passing by!
