Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
The day we visited there was nobody here. The ranger was in a vehicle further down the road at the Pinguinera.

3km more and there is a parking lot. Not camping inside the reserve.

It is still free, because they don’t have entrance tickets in the moment. We have had only to register here. It‘s a really nice colony of Magellan penguins to visit.

Update: Apparently only free because the person collecting money wasn't there that day.
