City park that allows overnight parking. some trains nearby at night but not that bad. pretty quiet overall. no verizon service. trash dumpster, toilet and potable water. nice safe spot!
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
The only purpose, this place serves is if you accidentally went to the picture canyon place and regretted it. This is the backyard of a school, there’s basketball courts, a tennis courts that have been run down and not kept up with, the bathroom was pretty gross. The water Spicket’s are probably OK but I wouldn’t drink out of them long term. It’s not so much a campsite I was like an awkwardly placed park. Would be OK for one night in a pinch.
Report Check-InQuiet even on a Saturday night. Not fancy, but clean an has water.
Report Check-InParked right by the baseball field. No issues, trains didn’t seem to start up until the early AM, or we slept through them!
Report Check-InAs described! Stayed here for a night in late October & was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming it felt for a city park. The only downside in my opinion is no cell signal (Verizon). Would totally stay again!
Report Check-InStopped for lunch. Super friendly local let us know that the lot on the SE side of the park is now part of the park. It has 2 picnic tables, water, and. A fire ring. He said big rigs are welcome to park there.
Report Check-InQuiet safe spot, in a very small rural town. Playground and bathrooms open 24 hrs, school close by, please no noise , be respectful to people living close by. We arrived late at night and no one bothered us.
