Description

Convenient and quiet in town camping for car or van. There are three spots right at the trailhead and a parking lot right next to it for the trailhead. No RVs, tents or trailers though. No amenities. Gas station two blocks down have toilets.

Few locals show up for the trails early morning, around 6, so be courteous.

Great place to sleep plenty of parking. Off the main road with a Shell station two blocks away. Locals do show up around 6-7am so be mindful. Wasn’t bothered and is perfect or a car or van overnight. No room for an RV or trailer. Great area.

Report Check-In

The lot is expanded for sure, but the signs say no public parking at all and that the available parking is for the northern trailhead- where the signs there say no parking any time. So I found a different spot on the map

Report Check-In

This parking lot must have been expanded since the last visitor reviews. We parked in the very back of the lot with signs labeled designated trailhead parking. No one bothered us.

Report Check-In

Arrived around 11:30pm and there were two other cars in the parking lot, very quiet and lots of room (looks like the available spots have been expanded from the original 3). By 7:30am quite a few day hikers had already arrived, but the parking lot was still relatively quiet and shady.

Report Check-In

Like others said, pulled in after dark. The street was quiet and one other van here. For boondocking it was fine and in the morning I hiked the trails! Be respectful and keep this place clean

Report Check-In

This spot saved us. We parked close by that was very noisy at a sunset spot. Left early due to noise. Got here at 1:30 am slept like babies until 8. Very quiet and nice. Only cars/vans would fit though. No rvs.
