In this well signed roundabout, you get access to Pantanal Sul. Turn to Porto da Manga. The dirt road starts right after. All easy when dry. About 118km from the north entrance to the south.

full disclosure: I drive a F250 with a big camper on the back. it took me 7 hours to drive 55 miles on the MS 228 the first day, and 4 hours to drive 18 miles the next day. it was completely dry and all we saw were a few capybaras. better you drive the 262 down and then the 184 up 5 miles. save yourself a lot of curse words, time, and 50reales on the ferry.
