We took a 5 hour boat ride along the Kaw river for €40 per person and stopped at the small village of Kaw for lunch (included with the price) and check the visitor center. We saw several different birds, capybaras and caiman.

We took a boat ride to the village of Kaw and it was nice but also somewhat disappointing - no more than half an hour required. It is not the nature reserve. If you want to see the Red Ibis and other wildlife you really need to book the 5 hour boat tour to the reserve in Cayenne.
