Foul is right as Cpt. James said. I'm in a cloud when Portland is 90 degrees. Noticed a no overnight sign but I expect that's new judging from the reviews. I'll be here until light, all to myself. A peaceful dreamy place. Was hoping for a clear morning with high view but forecast says otherwise. It's misty raining at midnight in late August 2022, it's very rare in Oregon. Excited for exploring the area tomorrow. I met a local who filled me in.
Report Check-InJust a parking place of a viewpoint. More than a handful of campers came here, also 2 rather big rigs. So the place was overfull - and probably will have a "No Overnight" table soon...
Report Check-InPark ranger knocked on our door around 9am, said the area is day use only.
Report Check-InVery nice spot for a night. Parking lot with toilets and view over the ocean. 2 others campers were here with us. Very quiet at night.
Report Check-InStayed here 1 night, would suggest leaving early before gift shop opens
Report Check-InReally beautiful spot, amazing view! Two porter loos. Chose this one over boiler bay spot. Not as windy and had no signs suggesting we couldn’t stay overnight.
Report Check-InAs described by first poster except name is Cape Foulweather I believe. So cool to fall asleep to sound of the ocean!
Report Check-InOk place to spend the night. No no signs anywhere even though it’s a state scenic area. A little noisy with traffic coming and going and the wind can be loud. Stayed for one night with no problems.
Report Check-InViewpoint Cape Foulwind 300ft above the Ocean. Could just see Gray Whales from inside our Truck camper . Has even two toilets. No signs, good connection with AT&T. Very nice views!
